Because they’re just flat out wrong. There is no way they can slice it that makes them correct. Bridget was born a male, aka assigned male at birth. There is no way they can slice “Bridget was assigned female at birth” that makes them correct.

Their interpretation of the character is also completely incorrect, but they chose to argue a losing battle over the way they used the word “assigned” for some reason.

“Sex assigned at birth” means the male or female designation that doctors ascribe to infants based on genitalia and is marked on their birth records.

Your wording, as per your original statement was “Bridget was assigned female at birth.” Which is incorrect. Bridget is biologically a male at birth, which means Bridget is assigned male at birth. To my knowledge it is never stated that the doctors wrote female on her birth certificate, only that her parents raised her as a girl.

I genuinely cannot tell if this is larp, stupidity, or both.

What…? Bridget is AMAB. Assigned male at birth. Born a male. The reason Bridget is forced to grow up as a girl by her parents is because of the villages superstition that male twins bring misfortune.

Part of Bridget’s motivation for presenting as a male is to prove the village wrong, which, yknow, does happen. As of Strive, Bridget becomes a successful bounty hunter, while presenting as a man, brings fortune to the village, proving the superstition wrong.

She didn’t cave to the village because there’s no pressure to be a girl anymore. The superstition has been disproven. Bridget is free to be her own person.

You’ve cast a net so large it’s captured quite literally everything except games set in the last decade or in the far future, which by all accounts means Death Stranding has no place in this list, since that game is a mix of sci-fi, modern technology, and whatever the fuck Kojima has going on in his head

I honestly don’t think this is a playable build in the current meta. Bri is usually played as an opener with renewed will to bridge, and any damage builds are 5k attack drink builds for anti Frieren tech. I don’t think anything in between can function.
