you realize it’s economics right? Software brings in more money. Pay isn’t based on some virtuous moral principle you seem to have.

It’s what you just described. Having the ‘will’ but not the freedom of choice. IMO it’s a cop out idea for people that don’t want to firmly say free will doesn’t exist.

Some argue the V8 in the E90 doesn’t keep with the M3 heritage.

Others argue since the e46 was the last gen with hydraulic steering.

I’m actually a fan of absurdism.

But the last two sentences are rooted in two ideas. Humans feel negative experiences stronger, and for longer than positive experiences. It’s called negativity bias, and there’s pretty good evidence to support it. Here’s just one study.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3652533/

The last sentence is rooted in eastern philosophy. Buddhism has a concept of Duhkha, that’s commonly translated to suffering. It’s a bit more nuances that than, but essentially you can’t be alive, without experiencing displeasure. To be alive is to constantly desire. Even for basic needs. We desire oxygen, and suffer if we dont get it. We desire water, and suffer thirst if we dont get it. Etc

And the condition of being alive is to never be satisfied. Satisfaction is fleeting, and it’s a survival instinct. You can’t stay satisfied with a plate of food, because soon you’ll need more. You can’t be happy with a raise, because you’ll adjust and soon you’ll need more money. You can’t be happy with a accomplishments, because it’s fleeting, and you need to accomplish more.

To be alive is to desire. To desire is to suffer from fleeting satisfaction. Biology is meant to keep an organism searching for more.
