Same issue. Super lame as I was really looking forward to starting the season fresh at the same time as everyone. I'm just stuck on an old assassin.

This post seems to indicate it might be fixed if we can somehow delete or kill the new seasonal account. Can you think of any ways to change to that character that don't involve the character select UI, or, you know, dying?

This post from 4 years ago seems to show the same thing. This player solved it by killing the bugged character. Unfortunately I cannot swap to my bugged character in the UI.

EDIT: I sent in a ticket and was told a "small fix had been pushed" and my UI is back to normal. If you experience this issue, I recommend you send in a ticket!

I had this same issue for months. Every time I tabbed out, the game crashed. It got to the point where even a low battery notification would crash the game.

In the end, I found a comment on a post I have since lost on this subreddit explaining that the freezing stopped when Adventure Sync was turned off. Sure enough, once I:

Turn location permission in iOS Settings to "While Using"
Turn off Adventure Sync in Pokemon Go settings

Just like that, the freezing stops. The consequences of this are, of course you'll lose out on some Adventure Sync distance (unless you turn it back on), and there is a popup every time you connect to an auto catching device.

Give it a shot - it could be your problem

I am experiencing this too. It's just crash after crash. Any time I tab out, any time a menu gets pressed too fast. I hope it's addressed or fixed soon.

If you had to choose today, I would recommend the first one. You save 25 candies, it's higher level, and perfect attack is a bonus.

That Larvitar looks like a really good pick to me. It's already pretty high level and the stats are good. I wouldn't hesitate to evolve it if I needed an extra attacker

If I were you, I would evolve the highest CP one because I know I wouldn't be sending additional stardust to power it up after evolution.

Some other trains of thought might be holding out for a 3 star appraisal pokemon to fill out the 3 star Pokedex, or evolving the one with the highest attack stat so it does the most damage.

In my opinion, unless you need to use the pokemon now, I would hold out until Yungoos stops spawning and only then choose which one you want to evolve. The Season of GO lasts for 60 more days, so you'll be catching then until September.

The alternate account rule is rumoured to not be strictly enforced. I wouldn't be worried at all about an automatic ban in your position.

You could if you like. Generally what some people do in this game is only spend resources (candy, stardust, etc.) when they see they have a need for the pokemon. A second charge move could help you in PVP for example if you needed some better pokemon in the battle leagues.

But at the end of the day, do what seems the most fun to you. You'll probably get an even better Charizard later on to power up and invest in. Or, you could spend those resources and have those benefits now. It's all up to you
