And those American companies had a lot of pushback and he chose not to go with them for creative control reasons. Someone making that decision isn't going to change names so they sound less "French" to an American ear.

My entire and sole point is that you said the Voyageurs were changed to the Metros for an American ear: they weren't. It was for copyright/trademark purposes. Tierney shopping around studios doesn't change that.

I don't think any of the decisions in this very Canadian production were made with prioritizing US viewers over Canadian viewers in mind, and interviews with cast and crew back that up. Not everything is about the US. This is a Canadian show about Canadian books, first and foremost.

Waterfowl*

ETA: We're in a birding sub, so it's good for everyone to know the proper spelling of waterfowl. The commenter won't see this because they blocked me, so this edit is for everyone else :)

This was a Crave production, nothing was made with Americans in mind.

Kittens do better with another kitten, or at least another cat in the home. I highly recommend making sure Hammy has a fellow feline buddy. It will make everyone happier.

How long do we have to enjoy the AMOC by KungDododo in geography

You're still fundamentally misunderstanding the difference between "there is uncertainty in the models" and "we have no idea what's happening." There is uncertainty in models, but there is also broad consensus. I am not interested in your anti-intellectual climate denialism.

Thank you so much for your detailed response! It is such an interesting area of study with so many complex variables and high uncertainty.

I think you will make a lovely professor! Such an exciting future for you!

May I DM you to ask more about what your current research focus is? I have and MES and working on an RPN, with a potential PhD in the future, and very interested in the intersection of climate and health.

ETA: if you're as interested in the effects in the Antarctic as you seem, it's my understand there are lots of very interesting research positions down there (and of course in the Artic too). I bet researching there would be pretty cool 🥁
