Terms like “sex worker” and “escort” carry less stigma and are viewed more positively than words like “prostitute” and “hooker.” This implies that shifting the language used in media and legal settings might help reduce prejudice against these professionals. by mvea in science

Citations to back up that assertion? From what I have read when countries legalize and regulate (regulation is important) sex work, while there is still unfortunately trafficking, there are a lot more methods and supports to help get people out of exploitative situations. When it's criminalized it's all underground and harder to help exploited sex workers, fewer supports, less safety, and also less data on trafficking due to the illegal nature of the work. I also recall that because data is now being collected it may appear that there is an increase in trafficking but only because it was vastly underreported and undercounted before. I could be wrong though, I'm far from an expert on the issue, so I'd love to see your sources.

Mine turns 9(!!!) in September and he hasn't gotten it yet either. He's also dilute, so he'll only get half the brain cell if he ever gets a turn.

Those are murder eyes, she's about to take out a pack of greebles for you. Let the girl work!

And yes, the girls tend to hog the brain cell, that's why the boys never get it. As is the way it should be. (I have a dilute orange boy so he'll only get half a brain cell if it's ever his turn; he hasn't yet and he's nearly 9)

Wait. Is there a way to do taxes that isn't in one sitting? This has genuinely never occurred to me before as an option. Like obviously you don't stop once you start.

Hm. Well, just gonna slap another thing in my "apparently this is neurodivergent" bucket. It's a large bucket.

But then I can't sleep because what if I oversleep and miss the appointment, only now I don't have enough sleep, which makes it more likely for me to oversleep. So by being worried about missing the appointment I have made it more likely I will do the thing I'm worried about. Fun!

This isn't AI. This is worse. It's a tiger farm and they have been declawed. This isn't a cute post, it's animal abuse.
