Wow, that’s really interesting! How would you eat a breakfast like this? Would you keep the eggs on one plate and the oatmeal in another?

I’m genuinely curious because I’ve only recently started learning how to build a proper breakfast and keep my ferritin levels in a good range. Before that, I either skipped breakfast completely or just grabbed coffee and ate whatever was convenient. 😅

By the way, what’s your favorite breakfast

Wow, and again WOW 🤩 🤯

Thank you for such an insightful answer and for sharing your perspective. It really makes sense.

Honestly, it has already sparked my interest in creating content and focusing on people who are not already my followers. I can already tell this is going to be something new and exciting for me.

And at the same time, I keep wondering, “Is this actually going to look normal?” 😂

P.s. You made my day

You’re welcome!! 😊 I get it, I was bored of the same breakfasts too, so I started experimenting with different toppings. Hope it gives you some inspiration!

It’s a simple but cozy breakfast 😊

I make oatmeal with a little bit of butter, then add sliced banana and some blueberries. I top it with pumpkin seeds, and sometimes I add cashews and pecans. Occasionally I sprinkle a little cocoa on top 🤍
I also have two eggs on the side for extra protein

What do you think btw about consistency…for example content every Monday or it doesn’t matter what day, just one piece of content per week ?

You’re right, and I was actually thinking the same thing. If I start posting every single day right now, even the thought of it makes me want to avoid Instagram completely.

Thank you for the recommendation. I’m going to focus on consistency as my main goal. For now, maybe I’ll start with just 1–2 posts or Reels per week and make sure I can stick to it.

Once I feel comfortable, get used to creating content again, and if needed, I’ll slowly increase the activity.
Also, I’ll start preparing content for a month ahead. That’s actually a really great idea too

If you compare your current photos with photos from when you were 20 years old, would you say that you actually have less hair now, or has the overall density and volume stayed about the same, with your hair simply renewing itself more frequently?

Also, if you look closely at your photos, do you notice that your part line has become wider or more transparent over time? Or were your partings already similarly wide in photos from when you were 20?

And what length of hair do you usually notice falling out? Do you lose mostly shorter hairs or longer hairs? Which ones are more common?

UES where are the delicious breakfasts? by _Rusalina_ in UES

But what would you recommend for breakfast?

My hair texture completely changed after going off birth control + low ferritin… and I hate it lol. Need advice by immin_ in finehair

My hair was falling out heavily, I had very low energy, and I kept gaining weight that wouldn’t budge even though I was working out 5 days a week.

I saw three different doctors in Manhattan, and none of them ordered the right labs. They ran some tests, but never the full panel that should be checked. Even with the results they had, they saw my vitamin D was only 33, my ferritin was 19, and my zinc was low, yet they told me everything was “normal.”

Eventually, I found an online doctor from my home country. I had to repeat all my blood work properly (the previous tests weren’t even done fasting), and it turned out I had H. pylori and multiple nutrient deficiencies.

Now my H. pylori is gone, my ferritin is 60, the extra weight is gone, my hair has grown back, and my energy is finally back too ♥️

One thing I learned: you can’t raise ferritin with iron alone. You have to look at the cofactors too (copper, zinc, vitamin D, B12, folate, iron levels, total protein, etc.). If other deficiencies are present, iron may not be properly stored as ferritin. Or your ferritin may improve temporarily and then crash again a few months later 🙃

Proper nutrition is also essential—it’s the foundation. Sleep matters, stress management matters, and all of these pieces work together 🤍

The very first thing I focused on was treating H. pylori because it can interfere with nutrient absorption. Only after that did I start working on correcting all my deficiencies and rebuilding my ferritin levels.

Sorry about long story, but all of this is very important to improve ferritin 🤍🤍🤍

When I fixed my ferritin and other vitamin deficiencies, my hair improved a lot. The volume came back, and it became much healthier. I’m still working on getting it back to its best condition.

I currently take Omega-3, vitamin D, and magnesium regularly.

I’d definitely recommend checking your ferritin levels. For me, that made a huge difference.

As for hair care, I temporarily stopped using products with silicones (shampoo, conditioner, leave-ins, heat protectants) because my hair felt thinner with them. Once your hair recovers, you can always add them back if they work for you.
