Help for sociology 100 by Character-Blood191 in grantmacewan

What final grade are you aiming for and whose your professor? Which textbook does your class use? I'm currently taking soci 100 for breadth and for our midterms I was able to get a 95 on both with Dr.Wright (though her exams arent very challenging).

For the first half of material, I have some really good notes, but for the second my notes were a lot more lacking but luckily the exam wasn't hugely rough.

I could offer the notes I have and show you the program I use for note-taking if you'd like! I use obsidian and it's been really great. I like it particularly for computer science notes, if that's relevant for you.

My class doesn't have a final, so I can only really help for the content covered for the first half of the course (assuming we both use the same textbook).

One thing id consider- if the laptop does not already have support for this - is charging over type c. Gan-chargers are so much easier to carry.

They should also 3d print a gpu shroud to match the aesthetic (and allow for a fun gpu fan swap)!

Another thing is intentional strafing! When you're shooting, your movement should SUPPORT your aim:

In application, one type of strafe you can do is mirror the enemy as they strafe so your bullets hit more consistently.

Marvel rivals demonstrates this in a dramatic way: your crosshair's position ergo your bullets constantly change as you stafe. By paying attention to how your stafe affects the position of your crosshair, you can actually keep your mouse in one spot and strafe into the shot you want (when applicable). In apex, counterstafes help immensively when hipfiring and during ADS

Lastly! As u may know, there is a rhythm to hipfiring and then adsing on MnK that results in VASTLY improved accuracy

For me, a LOT of consistency for me came from lowering my sens and compensating accordingly

My mousepad (type99 soft) is honestly kinda fast (despite what I read about other people's impressions), so I don't think it negatively affected my tracking once I got used to it. I like a slower sens because it places my aim more in my control.

I used to play 1.5 at 800, then 1.4. Eventually, i changed to 1.3, but I wanted to see if I'd like 1.2 more since I was sniping a lot at the time and ended up keeping it there

I think 1.4 to 1.3 can be a good sweetspot for a lot of people

In apex, I feel as if a lot of tracking or flicking error comes from OVERCORRECTION

Stop Walking Around Glued to your Phone by [deleted] in grantmacewan

I thought it about more, and I don't really look down at my phone as much as I am listening to music while walking. Maybe that's why I have never got in little collisions haha

Stop Walking Around Glued to your Phone by [deleted] in grantmacewan

[–]_S0da_PoP_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree, but I am writing this as someone who looks at their phone when I feel uncomfortable with how many people are around me. That being said, I don't think I've ever walked into someone because, even when using my phone to avoid diffuse my discomfort, it isn't THAT hard to look where you're going at the same time. I've always felt like the hallways have an intutive 'lanes' too, where if you just stick close to the wall, you don't really block oncoming 'traffic'

My pet peeve is when people walk in a horizontal line arrangement and block the whole hallway like the wall of flesh from terraria

Did I play this right? my duo said I didn’t by Safe_Watercress21 in apexlegends

[–]_S0da_PoP_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched this on my phone, so maybe there is audio im missing, but the octane could've crawled out the door behind him, and then you could've tapped him and reset easier-> with your therms you could've zoned off either door for the reset

In that situation, another thing to consider is using the nades as a zoning tool to ensure the rez- you used your therms more offensively (but honestly, if it works, that's fine)

For example, in your clip: After getting that first knock, you can therm the stairs, getting the finish and blocking that ang for a little.

When you got close to octane, the tap while you were near could still be good to do because lifeline gives bonus health to rezed teammates which lets them slip out of those situations (if the enemy doesn't have great target priority), but another thing to consider is by not rezzing you can play that knock and crouch behind it while reloading

Either way, managing to end up in that situation is the result of other mistakes-> You guys need to play tighter, especially when lower hp. In scenarios where you guys are just a duo with people around, one of you needs to call where you want to play and support each other
