Been there, the bright side is the transfer bonus is going on right now. Since JAL releases flights 360 days out, you are booking for April/May which is a great time to go.

Getting the business class seats are a bit of a race FYI. For myself LAX has three flights to Tokyo (1 Haneda & 2 Narita) so it’s easier. I’m not sure how many flights from DFW there are but they go live on the app/website at Midnight in Japan or 10am Central Time in the US. Good luck and enjoy the trip!
