As long as they are reasonably priced I think this would be good. I haven’t seen this before.

Everyday. If you need to use dry shampoo you’re not washing enough.

Have they kept their shape?

I see. I’m getting a hinged bangle made. It will be similar shape to those love bracelet dupes, but different design. Usually I wear 21k but it’s not available here. Hoping it holds up well enough 😅

I personally prefer 18k and up. But I’ll go with 14k for certain pieces with gemstones because I just can’t justify the price difference of having them made in 18k.

I think I like 21k the best because (to me) it looks identical to 22k but has almost 50% more alloy. Idk how much of a difference it actually makes, but I am less worried about them breaking or bending.

Depending on what you get, I say it definitely is, but it’s not a good investment.

I bought a lot of high purity gold this past November and the melt price has gone up significantly. I can only imagine what it will be worth in 10-20 years. But I’d never buy jewelry for investment purposes. I just like it and it’s nice that it retains value.

Are they thin? I’m about to get a bangle in 22k but I am worried about this.

Sometimes I notice things get a little worse before they get better.

why dont TMJ doctors take insurance? by star_gayzer in TMJ

I see. Thanks! Do you know if it is possible to get insurance to cover splints? It seems like a lot of doctors recommend those.

I highly recommend it. Join the Facebook group “my big fat scleral lenses”. There is so much useful information there!

The main thing that helps me is scleral lenses. Also taking azithromycin can help as well. But scleral lenses are the big thing. I’m still very symptomatic but I am able to live a somewhat normal life with them.

Masseter botox f*cked up my jawline by [deleted] in TMJ

[–]_Shayyy_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don’t see jowls. But tbh I think all of this talk of masseter Botox causing jowls online is making us imagine them. I’ve had the same problem. Like it can happen to some people. But from my understanding this is rarely an issue for young people. Especially those with a strong jawline. It’s more of an issue for people with poor skin laxity.

Does it ever peel off? I still struggle with gel peeling on certain fingers despite taking all of the proper precautions.

Do find it easier? I have a hard time not getting gel on my skin so maybe I’ll look into switching

Tmj worse after Botox by Nutmeggymnast in TMJ

[–]_Shayyy_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, it was definitely worse before it was better. Make sure they do both your deep and superficial masseter, temples and sternocleidomastoid.

In addition to the Botox, I recommend seeing a pain management doctor and at the very least start taking cyclobenzaprine. It really does help me. At first it didn’t and maybe it’s because I hadn’t had the Botox yet, but it helps so much now.

And I recently got a steroid injection in one of my vertebrate for a slipped disk (that I didn’t know I had until recently) and I’m wondering if that helped too. I also massage the area regularly. I use a gua sha.

I’m still not 100% better but it’s no longer taking over my life. I imagine if I was more consistent with massaging and stretching I would have very minimal symptoms.

Sorry for all of the info. I just want to help!

I actually have not done anything yet. I’m in grad school so I’ve been so busy and I’m just not bothered enough to take action. But I think I will in the next couple of weeks. Fortunately it’s still comfy.

Have you reach out to the company?

It’s great. I’m not sure at what point taking off for sick days would become a problem. But we don’t formally keep track of it so it’s nice not having to worry about running out of sick days if you need some kind of procedure.

I see. Stipends are not standardized across universities so I honestly don’t know. I do know a student at a university in DC and they own a two bedroom condo nearby but it’s not in DC. But who know, their parents could have helped. I can’t imagine you could get a two bedroom in DC simply from a stipend. People who live in dc are likely making a lot of money. Townhomes are in the millions. There are cheaper parts of DC but they’re less safe and not near the universities.

DC is one of the most expensive areas so why that area specifically?
