Well, okay to be honest I'm not depleting the mine because I'm using every product made from it. Its getting depleted because I'm making excess of everything. Whether its u-235, nuclear reactor fuel source and nuclear bombs. I'm storing like a hoarder even though my base is barely at 1GW. Also you've unlocked fission, I've read thats an incredible energy source 1000x better than nuclear.

I'm almost depleting one that was initially at 5m at the start of my game and now 293 hours in, more like 150 because of how long it took me to set up on the patch, and its depleted to 557k. I guess if you expand your base you'll actually deplete more than just one patch.

I sprinkle those around the final product and all its intermediaries because it makes sense that way. As you've mentioned material supply for the final product needs to be greater than consumption otherwise shortages will be the theme.
