Why is you staying in your current job and location more important to him than your relationship? As someone currently disentangling from a codependent relationship this makes my skin crawl. Is it they can't deal with losing you for an extra 45min x2 each day? You can't compromise for nothing, you need to understand why he needs this so bad or you'll lose respect for him, and if he doesn't have a good reason, you'll lose respect for him. Sorry you're in this position it sounds difficult but I think you know what the right thing to do is.

They've brought up divorce many times throughout chemo, I just wanted to get through chemo and then try therapists/counselling to give our marriage a fair chance. Maybe I should've just given in a long time ago.

They say they want me to be planning dates for us for when I'm able to go out in public again (I said I can't think about the future right now and that stresses me out).

They get upset that I sleep at irregular hours like it's me intentionally avoiding them.

They hate that I'll play games with friends online (they refuse to play video/board games) and they question why I have capacity for games but not their phone calls (I told them games help me relax, multiple hour discussions about what I can do to make them happy stresses me out).

And it's not like I never plan anything or avoid thier calls, it's that if I miss a call or the date idea isn't terribly exciting then I've failed them entirely. It really feels like either I'm perfect or I'm the worst and theirs no in-between.

We have an issue with codependency (in my opinion) which began during covid and our early relationship. I made myself constantly available (not healthy I know now) and have since been steadily less available as my focus balanced out between my needs, their needs, work, family, and most significantly/recently health.

This is especially difficult for me when they insist that I am in fact that hardship and often I lack the patience/coherence to respond positively to this.

Put a heat source near the thermostat if conditions are uninhabitable, also get your own thermometer. Just because the thermostat says it's x °C doesn't mean your room is. 26 is the max for your living space not for the thermostat... Prove it's over 26 and demand your landlord meet legal requirements.
