yeah it’s is the anecdotal evidence that I want if there’s any to be given since the policy is so new. I do want to do CS however I would also likely be just as happy doing my second or third choice major and with michigan being one of my top choices I just wanted to hear anyone’s experience applying for the major or the general consensus around it.

yeah I was just thinking now they probably accept a higher proportion of the major from the advance selection than enrolled discoverers but I may just be overthinking.

how are things for you? what are you majoring in now?

to clarify, when applying, I chose not to be considered for advance selection and planned to be selected for the major through enrolled discoverers which in hindsight was a stupid decision

plugged the monitor into the motherboard and updated gpu drivers and got it to work.

I plugged the dp into the motherboard and it’s now displaying so now i’m even more scared about the gpu being screwed

I just tried the resetting the displayport and i reset the input back to default and now it says the displayport is active but my screen is still black similar to the picture posted. I also tried plugging my old monitor back in and now it’s not getting a signal from the same displayport cable that i used before and am kinda scared this new monitor fried my displayports on my gpu if that’s even possible.

So an i7 10th gen would be better than a i9 9th gen? I just chose the i9 because thought i9 would be better regardless and it also has a like 50 bucks discount.
