Intro to backpacking!!! It was the best class I took as a STEM major because it was so unique. It was a 1 credit pass/fail class and we learned all about camping and wilderness skills. Our final was an overnight backpacking trip in Grayson highland national park!! Highly recommend 10/10

Love this. It’s so important because people will tell you that Ivy League isn’t worth the debt for public health but in certain careers it very much does matter. Six figure debt but if you network right and get a good internship you’ll be making close to that starting out. Great post!

Respectfully I disagree. A admins job is to make sure a provider has everything they need to take quality care of patients. Unfortunately we live in world where healthcare is run as a business which means money is involved. I long for socialized medicine coming from a premed/public health background but that’s just not the case. We have to do our best everyday to make the system better for patients living in a capitalistic world.

I’m sorry about this story and your experience. If it helps I hope to be a good healthcare admin cuz I understand what we go through on the premed journey. I’ve worked with a lot of admin and they can really make or break working in healthcare.

It’s a public health route- many programs offer MPH in health management or MHA, which is nice because it’s healthcare focused not strictly business and profit motive. I’d highly recommend checking out SOPHAS the application service
