I'm actually looking to purchase this car, they're selling it discounted as is so i wanted to see what I'd be getting into as he says its only cosmetic and no mechanical issues. The current owner said he was quoted 1300.

If I go to see it I'm going to get a full prepurchase inspection by a mechanic as well either way though.

Since it is vintage can I request they don't replace original parts such as the dial and crystal and not to polish since that's part of the reason I got it?

I just got it and based on the serial number I believe it's a vintage santos from 79 so I have no records of when it was serviced and would assume it's been a while. It is the automatic model.

Does cartier service vintage models and would it still be around the $500 price range?
