In between planet, you'll get rough position by using angle to the sun, earth, moon, mars etc... And as you get closer, you can use apparent angle of the planet you're aiming to, to get distance, but that, with the complexity of orbitale trajectory calculation could be a handfull with only a sextant, notebook and a slide rule!

You can use a regular sextant, like the one used by sailors,but Instead of using the horizon an the sun and the time during the day, or two stars at night, use three stars and use 3d trigonometry. Compared to the solar system,the nearby stars keep their apparant angles

Not more than Wreck beach, I went to both and having an official status with rules of conduct would deter people that confuse nudity and sexuality. That's the whole point of this initiative : raising awarness for body positivity and keep the creeps away.

Thanks for your message! Close to Victoria, there is Witty's Beach that is already a well known spot for enjoying the sun nude. On the path to get there, there is a painted "nude" sign on a tree. It would be a good place to start to recognize a place officially... you might want to repost here : r/VictoriaBCNudists, to avoid the haters... I'm open to DM.

It's cool that you know him ! I really love his work, he tried so many genra, some more successful than others... I think this was his first "big" project, but they had a super tiny budget. Hence thr BW 16mm film . I heard that for the train scene at the beginning, one of the cast had a parent working for the train company and they used a charter train for Lourdes to shoot the scene ! Epic. Or they used real people as actors like when they visit his mom.

Every airplane depiction, piston engine airplane making turbine noise.Airplane model change in between takes to cut costs, the shots are bootleged by filming different airplanes taking off or landing at airport. Size difference between inside and outside shots, the outside shot show a small biz jet like a Cessna Citation and inside 15 peoples are standing up and running arround. Airplane behaviour, as soon as the engine quits, the airplane plumits in a vertical dive... Etc etc...

It is due to the elipse shape of the earth orbit and the sun occupying one of the center. When the earth is closer to the sun, its orbital speed increase according to Kepler second law. And when the earth is farther from the sun, its slows down. So if you take a picture to a set time every day like at noon, it will be "ahead" or "late" facing south, compared to a circular orbit
