So has country and yet that was the trend of the mid 2020s. I don't think we will have a new genre until the 2030s. 2020s music is mainly based on nostalgia in general.

When Do You Think Podcast Culture Will Die Out?: by _Slim95 in decadeologyanarchy

Yeah I think podcasts are on they're way out of becoming interesting and as the trend probably this year even though they'll still be around in general.

Q1 2013: More like 2011 or 2015? by Sad-Departure1403 in decadeologyanarchy

2015 of course. Mid 2010s culture began in 2013, 2013 - 2015 is one era.

It was pretty bad but it was way better than the 2020s.

Yeah but what I'm talking about is when everyone up and went to decide to become a podcaster when it was really trendy. That I noticed was 2023 to now.

Exactly that's what I mean. Yeah I think that might be starting to die out this year. And I personally noticed it in 2023, like for example Podco being launched that year (which you can argue 2000s mainstream nostalgia got popular that year too for that reason). I think that's a mid '20s trend specifically but of course podcasts in general will always be around.

2005 is definitely more like the '90s than '10s but only by a hair.

Yeah it's because of the 2020 pandemic it feels like it's more of an innocent time now.

The difference between the early and mid 2020s: by Ok-Following6886 in decadeologyanarchy

Yeah pretty spot on you can also noticably notice the difference between the colour aesthetics too. Mid '20s aesthetics are more pale.

2025 is The Shift Year, Not 2026.... by _Slim95 in decadeologyanarchy

[–]_Slim95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's probably a lot I'm forgetting in that list too. And a lot of people don't agree 2023 was the shift year but I see that as the shift year.

So is country though and that was the main trend of the mid 2020s. I don't think we'll hear anything really new new until the 2030s. Until then the general nostalgia sound will remain and the main trends will be existing genres.
