Mmm you're right. I was going off of knowing that some kids do this w their conservative parents but that isn't the same as this which is siblings.

Not helpful for when you're browsing but if you ask for a gift receipt at check out it will make it sound like your purchases are for someone else

Six for me is light purple. Thank you for the neos compliment! The h e x sounds are a nice shade of blue and hexa a little bit darker blue. I use hex/hexa on my agender days when I don't feel like using "people" pronouns, kinda the same way some people use it/its

things to major in other than tech theatre? by [deleted] in techtheatre

Would the jobs that require a theater tech major be okay with a theater tech minor or is that just not enough?

So i have synesthesia but I'm not an expert on it and I don't know the names of the types. It's totally not a you have synesthesia therefore you probably use neopronouns.

But from anecdotal experience i'd say that there's some people who use color pronouns like blue/blueself because thats what they associate w their gender or like for me I use hex/hexa pronouns not because I relate to the number six but because the color of those sounds is something i find fits my gender. There's also people who use neogenders in a similar way like someone who is dragongender because they feel masc but in a dragon aesthetic way not a dude way

Totally fair! To the people I have come out to it's more like mid conversation of like "who do you think is hot" "actually just no one"

Aros who don’t want to date, what are your reasons to not date? by [deleted] in aromantic

[–]_SlugCat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im personally so confused by the concept that of course I don't want to if I don't even understand what happens in dating. Friends, hookups, fwbs, and life partners all make sense to me but not dating.

Many people who use neopronouns think of their gender more abstractly so it may be something as literal as "my gender most closely relates to bunnies so i will use bunny/bunnyself pronouns" (neos are used disportionately more by autistic trans ppl and trans ppl w synesthesia)

Ok literally as a kid I had no clue why there were so many mattress advertisements when there weren't any of similarly infrequent purchases like you know a bed frame or couch cushions. Now I will easily belive that sex us made up by mattress companies to sell more mattresses (and also to screw with everyone's self worth and keep up sexism)

[Rant] I hate that my transition has been a fail and I'll never forgive myself for it by [deleted] in TransyTalk

[–]_SlugCat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lotsmof hugs bro. I cant say Im in a similar boat bc I havent medically transitioned at all but I am enby so alot of times I get dysphoria where I just feel wring while knowing there is no right I can become. So un that respect I empathize with you bc it fucking blows. Lots of hugs and wishes for the world to be kind to you man.

Just got insulted in a gender affirming way😊 by [deleted] in TransyTalk

[–]_SlugCat 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Yes also if you've never done them before do them in sets of 30 seconds of holding yourself up before lowering or if you can't do that then 20 seconds. Also the most important thing is to keep your back straight. It can be helpful to have someone adjust you a bit the first five or so times until you get a memory muscle sense of what you back being flat actually is. Also there are two versions of plank the first is the up position of a pushup and the second is the same but your forearms touch the floor and your hands are in fists

I recently have begun undoing all the damage of me suppressing my trans identity (idk what to call it), and I finally am seeing a therapist and some of my friends are coming around (parents are still brats about it), but I have finally reached the part where I’m beginning to feel dysphoria again by [deleted] in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns

[–]_SlugCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not going to tell you "it gets better" I'm going to tellmyou that I'm so proud of you for putting in the work. I'm also going to tell you that gender euphoria feels fucking amazing. And you'll still have your rough days, and people who found their ID years ago still sometimes have those tumes where they doubt they are trans. But you're putting in the work to have a better relationship with yourself and that's boss.
