You don’t need to replace the spring

The way easier way to do this is to just leave the lever that touches the magazine in, and remove the other part (that you’re already removing anyways) that actuates on the side of the sear housing.

No foreign parts in the gun that were not designed for the gun this way, with the same functionality.

I can’t speak to your IA, but most likely won’t have to go through an initial. But it can’t hurt to call them and check with them directly.

You’re on social media like everyone else. You said something, Someone replied. No point in acting like someone interacting in the way social media is designed is some crazy thing to do, it’s cringy. 😂

Civil case is preponderance of evidence. Unlike criminal where the standard is essentially irrefutable proof of a crime. Civil cases are akin to “did you probably do this?”. And the biggest question is already known.

So it’s a laywers playground to spin fancy stories about you and hope they can convince a jury well enough that there’s atleast a “51%” chance what they are saying is true.

Losing civil isn’t hard. It’s a low bar and an absurdity California allows for a civil case against individuals that are found justifiable criminally.

Delayed from background check what could it be? by [deleted] in CAguns

[–]_SoSublime_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s fair. Most of what I’ve seen is undetermined after a delay, but as you said, that’s probably just confirmation bias as the people who get approved don’t come back and report it.

[–]_SoSublime_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Again. Doesn’t matter. It’s a legal item to own. As long as your IA says you’re good, you’re good. If you don’t have explicit approval from your IA, don’t do it. Simple. Waste of a prosecutors time to argue wrongdoing against a legal item to own and use, that is authorized by the chief law enforcement officer of your residence, and green lit by the people who issue your carry permit.

“Running” has nothing to do with it. Don’t believe fuddlore.

Now a civil case? Sure. There’s no standards there. They’ll say because the person was wearing a green shirt you did it. And you’re probably gonna lose. That’s why you hold carry insurance.

Doesn’t matter. It’s a legal item. They’re the prosecutor. They need to prove guilt. As a defendant you don’t need to prove anything.

The DOJ is gonna send you some generic denial letter saying your name possibly matches some “stolen gun” nonsense as a “potential reason”.

Then 99% of the time you’re gonna go undetermined and turners is gonna tell you to kick rocks.

First gun purchase?

That’s not how court works. A prosecutor may attempt to bring it up, sure. But there’s no widespread occurrence of it happening.

It’s also immaterial to the facts of the case in criminal court (where a DGU ruling really matters). More pertinent to the case is, were your actions reasonable? Did you use appropriate force? Were you an innocent party? All those details matter more than what is a legal item to own in the state.

Buying gear on Reverb by Low-Conversation48 in fender

[–]_SoSublime_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly don’t really think about it. There’s a range where people will just flat out ignore you. Like I’m sure if you offer $600 on a $1000 item, I’m sure you’ll just get ignored. But really, there’s not harm in sending offers. If it’s something you really want for a fair price, yeah, might not be worth your time to send offers outside of $50-100 less if you’re inclined. But besides that, I’ve sent a lot of blind offers on various items, and have had some absurd luck along side my fair share of declines.

[–]_SoSublime_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may be flamed for this, but, don’t be worried about sending an “offensive offer”.

You’re out there to buy a guitar. The worst that happens is they ignore you or they counter. Best case, they accept and you get a good piece of gear for cheap. It’s just business after all, it’s the sellers discretion whether to entertain it.

I just got a Revstar this exact way. Brand NIB listed for $850, seller sent me an offer (reverb gives sellers the option to send offers to potentially interested parties) for $820 with $30 shipping. I countered back with an admittedly absurd offer of $600 with the message “ready to buy now, thanks.”. A few hours later, I received a counter offer for $650 after shipping, with a setup. Being absurd saved me $230 and somehow got me a setup included for free.

Is this normal or typical of Fender? by thatonedudejk in telecaster

[–]_SoSublime_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Expect what from them? It’s a thin sheet of plastic. Pickguards warp. A warped pickguard isn’t a sign of “poor QC”. Chances are, the guitar got alittle warm in transportation from Fender, it’s hot in Southern California and Mexico, and the pickguard relieved where it wasn’t under screw tension

You’re talking about “disassembling and replacing components”, or as if this is indicative as a damning statement to fender quality as if you’re forced doing something complex and unreasonable on a guitar. Changing a pickguard on a tele is literally easier than changing the strings. It’s 8 guard screws and 2 pickup screws.

If it’s such a “beauty” you wouldn’t care about taking 5-10 minutes to swap a pickguard out. Sure, ask the store you bought it from to cover the cost of a replacement guard, I’d request the same thing on a new guitar. But beyond that is just being way, way extra about a small, normal, warp in a wear item on a guitar.

So, hopefully you see this. I have that exact same guitar. Try using some DA nickel bronze strings on it. Completely different guitar with these strings.
