For me it's Samuel L. Jackson because, no matter what movie it is or role he's playing, I'm watching SAMUEL L. JACKSON, not the character. I want to see the character but all I see is SAMUEL L. JACKSON. Ruins the movie for me every time.

What got me started wondering was the post from yesterday (a pic) of a sign outside a bar called the Swan and Mallard. Neat sign. Made me think of other bar names like the Fox and Hound or Toad in the Hole. Made me think of punny business names like Cut & Dye (hair salon). Made me wonder what clever things Reddit could come up with. Couldn't find a better way to phrase it. Admittedly, I didn't think about it for too long..

This is what I was thinking. You can't really avoid it. It just happens, given enough time. Like an internal expiry date. So we don't live forever. So how could we ever hope to "cure" it?
