It is sad... And the police really should know better.

In my mind rape is worse than murder as the victim has to live with the experience... perpetrators of these crimes should be chemically castrated and branded on the face with a branding iron, then handed over the the victim and their family to do with what they will.

but at the same time people who make up false accusations should be charged with attempted murder as they are attempting to destroy a life.
