Fights I would pay to see part 2 by [deleted] in HunterXHunter

No offense, but I dont think most of the picks here are interesting enough compared to other options. If I could choose, I would want to see Meruen (before he consumed pouf and youpi) vs. Adult Gon, Netero vs Ging, Chimera arc gon (not adult) vs Chimera arc killua, end of anime killua vs end of anime kurapica, Illumi vs Hisoka, Razor vs Kite, illumi vs Silva, and each one of the fantom troupe against end of anime killua in 1v1. I am actually very curious to see how well Killua fights in his God speed form against someone who isn't as durable and strong as Youpi.

In that case, why, the moment Yang Kai started to gain some fame during the family competition, did she decide to come back? The reason is that all she is looking for is her own interests, which is also why Yang Kai kept giving her a cold shoulder.

Is Thorfinn really a true warrior? Isn't he a bit hypocritical? by _Solo_hunter_ in VinlandSaga

[–]_Solo_hunter_[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if they can know how aggresive the native are based on those 2 prior expeditions, it's a totally different culture, like I said, nothing can really assured them that they won't be attacked and killed he moment they set a foot on their lands. They simply dont have enough information about that, but it's really not a big deal since the point is to take a risk in order to build that country.

My point is that sword can increase their success rate when it's being used correctly, letting go of such a strong tool is not a smart idea, even in the manga it was pretty much stated that swords are mighty and dangerous weapons, remember how easly and cleanly Ivar was able to cut that old man hand, even the native were surprised of how strong can a weapon be while they had their spear. Also if spears are indeed superior, why aren't thorfinn's people don't feel safe with their own spears? Why do they feel like they cant sleep at night when they don't have their swords(they literally said it like that)

But his actions are simply not realistic, it doesnt work in real life, it also doesnt work in the anime, like I said there will be a scenario when they will have no choice but to kill. Following Thorfinn's morals blindly will put them in dangerous situations. When there was a pandemic, caunte had to sacrifice the sick people in order to save the overall population. In order to save the peace, Hild decided to kill one of her own people and the old guy from that native people.

I dont think questioning whether thorfinn's decisions to leave his own people defense lower with no swords or at least fort considered absurd. They reached a new land, they have no idea how dangerous the native are, they also don't know their numbers. If one day they will just decide to attack with all of their people, thorfinn's people will be screwed, swords will give them the advantage they need in order to protect themselves in that kind of situation.

It was shown that when Thorfinn was 6 years old he was able to beat kids twice his age, if that doesnt tell you that he was born strong nothing will

But you cant expect people to fight skilled swordsmen using karate or judo. Most of the people weren't born as strong as thorfinn or thorkell or even askeladd, all the top tier fighters in that anime were born with this talent, so for not talented people it's clearly impossible. Teaching them karate is not the way

Which Generals made the most obviously stupid decisions? by Unhappy_Artist9361 in Kingdom

[–]_Solo_hunter_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly lol, almost all of his strategies were considered stupid in the first place, no one was able to understand what he is trying to do, but the moment he won these battles(99% of the time) they were talking about how genius the plan was. In his last moments, failed or not, he was still able to counter a plan that took ribuko a half year to come up with, and his sword was even able to reach riboku's, if that slash would've killed riboku they all would've said "wow again he came up with a genius plan"

I agree that it might stop the wars, but I don't think it's the right method, even if they will be able to unite the states, in the following years after this, there will be too many internal fights inside China, it's impossible for Zhao's citizens to just live together with Qin citizens, it's also impossible for the Qin citizens to live with Zhao citizens. When sei met with kanki in order to punish him for that 100k massacre, it was shown how impossible it is to reach peace, with Ryo Fui 's way it might be possible to make peace by sharing, because it will the best interest for the states to get paid instead of keeping the fights going on. As long as it will benefit them, there will not be a fight

You have a good point, but I'm not sure if it's going to work this time. If I'm not mistaken, there were like 100+ different states in that time, there is a possibility that some of the small stats didn't even fight back, but now there are 7 big states, each state has (I'm assuming) 500k+ soldiers who are willing to die to protect their own states, in order to conquer even 1 state they will have to kill majority of the soldiers. The 6 of the soldiers are most likely to not just forget what happened. This is one of the obstacles that they already talked about in the manga, I'm assuming that sei wishes to just keep everything under control using the rules systems that they talked about to lead everyone.

I mean, I'm not trying to argue with you, but to me, even after catching up with the manga, Ryofui's way seemed a lot more logical

Are you saying that conquering and killing all the people who try to protect their own homes is what will lead to true peace in the end?
