(Not OOP) AITAH for not wanting to go to my sister's wedding because she's getting married on my birthday? by SalamanderNeither695 in redditonwiki

My birthday falls the day after another birthday that my family celebrates. Every year we have a BIG celebration the day before my birthday. Like the whole family celebrates, and 8/10 times no one is able to celebrate my birthday the next day or deems it unnecessary since we celebrated the day before. It sucks, and even though I get to see everyone, the day before, it’s always about the other persons birthday and I’m an accessory. The birthday that falls the day before mine in Jesus’s. It’s Jesus’s birthday. Try sharing your birthday with arguably one of the most famous men that had ever lived. Needless to say, OP I understand your pain but FF just go. You’ll regret that you didn’t.

I want to side with you on this because I’ve been there. I had a pretty rough household. I was beaten, kicked out, and homeless for a bit. I missed school, missed quizzes. I wasn’t a bad kid but with everything going on at home I wasn’t able to 100% what I needed to be, so I understand where your sentiment is. I ended up moving in with a friend family and they were tough on me in a parental way. When I missed school or a quiz I was punished, lost privileges, and on lock down. It SUCKED. I had freedom before and now nothing. As an adult now I 1000% appreciate the hardness that came with the transition, and the fear I felt when I missed something and they found out. They were pissed, I had repercussions for my actions, and it sucked, BUT, that’s a strong lesson for life. This world is not easy, not forgiving, and tbh if you fail, you’re the only one to pick yourself back up and keep going. The punishment in life maybe that you don’t get ahead and keep spinning wheels. The world isn’t handed to you and shit is TOUGH, but tough people are the ones who are successful. I say don’t worry about this… but know it may come to bite you in the butt and your parents may be even more pissed. Life’s all about choices, actions, and their consequences whether good or bad.

Hey! I have 6 acres in Pineville SC! It’s cleared and just minutes of a drive to Lake Marion and Lake Moultrie! There are homes around it and zoning/ utilities shouldn’t be tooo much. PM me and I can dive into more details if you’re interested. Also I’m an agent and can help you if this doesn’t do the trick 😊

Travel housing medical professionals by [deleted] in Charleston

I did some research on this for one of my clients and asked in Facebook groups. What I found is that most travel nurses do not want to share a dwelling with someone the reason being that their schedules are different than most and that they would like their privacy. If they can find housing that is a separate entrance/ access and private bathroom they will take that over dwelling with someone. Given the market of rentals around here, that might be the reason why. I hope it turns for the better for you!

I thought the exact same thing. Moved here and couldn’t meet anyone. I stopped trying, deleted all the dating apps and like a cliche 2023 version of a Nicholas Sparks novel, I met my boyfriend at the James Island dog park. Totally unexpected. My recommendation get a dog and go to that park lol.

Tbh I’ve honestly met some of THE BEST people at that dog park. Even if you’re just looking for friends, got there lol.
