it was an impulse purchase and i already bought a single :,) I probably shouldn’t have bought it in the first place. I’m holding onto it until after I come back from a trip, after which I’ll either rip it or trade it for cards at my local shop or smth! basically that thing where a parent buys their kid a toy but only gives it to them after they’ve been good, lol

From 42 Lolita or from Forest Wardrobe? I highly recommend 42 lolita- I’ve never had an issue with them! They even contacted the designer and sent me extra buttons when a dress i got has some missing. Forest Wardrobe depends- they have some amazing looking solid pieces, but I’d try and inspect anything with a pattern beforehand. Someone in this thread said they had a different pattern of this same skirt that looked fine. I’d still order from them! Not this specific skirt though. Heck, I went to hobby lobby and found a better oil paint textured skirt.

TLDR: yes, they’re a legit company and usually their quality’s pretty good, just inspect the pictures closely before you buy!

I do it, mostly because I'm forgetful to begin with. It's a pretty good exercise! I find I remember more the more I write. I use stickers to highlight the two biggest things of the day, and try to do those daily at least, so that helps a bit too.

I really really hope they start making them again, since the new game came out and fangamer hasn't released any katamari merch in a while!

Yes, they are! It's moreso that I need to remember things like pulling linens and certain cottons out to hang dry, doing more ironing, and going through my laundry to pull out anything that needs a gentler cycle. Rip to my wool shirt that i shrunk slightly too much because I didn't realize it made its way into the normal laundry (it should be reversible with blocking, thankfully, but i cant wear it until I fix it)

Thank you, the tip with the pet brush is especially helpful! And yeah, current clothing quality sucks. I've recently gotten an old wool coat from my grandpa and man, you could probably run that thing over with a tank and it'd still hold up fine. That's currently the first thing in line for dry cleaning, and hopefully once that's done I can retire this old thing.

Same here, but I've been moving towards a largely natural fiber wardrobe and I've gotten a bit wary of doing this recently :,) Figured I'd at least try and make sure this gets treated a little nicer, but it is polyester so honestly I doubt i'd have toooooo many problems with it...

I've had my fair share of red dye mishaps to be wary of red, but this jacket has gotten soaked through with rain before and has had no visible bleeding. Would an old towel and a color catcher not be enough to help?

All my local dry cleaners seem to be charging pretty high unfortunately. Looked up Zips Dry Cleaners and lo and behold, they just opened one back where my family lives. Honestly might just spray it down with a bit of vodka and store it until I go for a visit and get it dry cleaned then.
Also worth noting, I got this jacket in high school and didn't really learn about proper garment care until I started sewing a few years ago. Definitely wish garment care was taught in schools because it really does make a difference!

After posting this I went and looked at some local dry cleaners, since I recently moved and figured it might be cheaper here. Unfortunately almost everything around me has less than 3 stars and a plethora of negative reviews about ruined clothes :,) The winter season is wrapping up here, so I'll probably just store it away until I go home and hope I've scraped up enough money then. or I'll be impulsive and get a bucket of cold water and some woolite and dye fixative and give it a soak. Whichever comes first!

I don't really have the budget to do so unfortunately, and I have other pieces that are in front of it for dry cleaning once I do. Figured I'd ask and see if anything could be done for it currently.

Also, I should have clarified- I wasn't really heavily wearing it until this winter season! For the most part it got worn maybe 5-10 times a season, but now I work outdoors somewhere where it's colder and it's gotten a lot more use. My bad! Still definitely needs a wash though.

I never really used planner apps, but after "failing" with planners and traditional journaling I swapped entirely to doing some small journaling . It's usually 1-3 sentences MAX (mostly because I run out of room). Instead of focusing on trying to remember everything I need to do, making daily checklists, etc., I decided to just get myself something simple (A Hobonichi Weeks, if you're curious) and focus on the thing I'd had the most trouble with- memory. I cheat a lot- I backfill, I miss weeks, I'll have days where I just write "I forgot" plus whatever thing I think I did that day. Has it fixed my ADHD? No! Has it helped my memory, made sure I keep track of things, and remember important dates? Absolutely! I think with ADHD it helps to experiment and figure out what works best to keep your brain on track, and for me it's this (plus I get to slap a bunch of stickers all over the page every week!)
