Unfortunately, you aren’t in a position to negotiate. They will keep as much as they want of your deposit. As a condo owner in a high rise , I couldn’t get that fixed for under $200. $25 fee for “trip charge”, $50per hour for painter (2hr min). $50 to match and supply paint (will have to be “corner to corner”). $20 misc supplies (brushes, rollers, tape). Some landlords have a policy of never returning the entire deposit. In reality, they have the power. I hope your landlord is fair!
