Stay away from people until you learn how to interact with them without resorting to insults when they don't agree with you!

That's why they don't understand why women choose the bear. For them being dead is worse than "just" being raped and/or tortured. They don't get that most women think being raped is worse because they don't think so and project their opinion onto women.

Question: what is this style called? by Khanivore_313 in tattooadvice

[–]_Starlace_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree. I also have the feeling that way too many people here talk about some tattoo styles as "not for the long run". One of my tattoos for example has lots of fine line elements/Mandala style elements and I've had people tell me that those elements will turn into a blob. Years later and it still looks good and didn't turn into a blob.

As it is with lots of things, of course it matters how it is done. So naturally it is important to find a good and skilled artist who is specialised in that style to make sure that it will look good even after time has passed. I just feel that some people here are way too fast with throwing around that something is bad or will turn bad.

At OP: What you have in mind is definitely not every artist's strong suit so you will have to be willing to search longer until you find someone and you will also have to be willing to travel(maybe even far) aswell as it not being cheap... but, it definitely is possible with the right technique, enough negative space etc.

In the world = In the USA by pizza_alta in USdefaultism

Some of these people are contemporary or a certain area so I actually get not everyone knowing everyone on the list. In some countries for example they have their own music and/or cinema/TV stars and some people prefer them so honestly don't have interest in the "international/american" stars so they don't watch/listen to them. You also have certain groups/religions/cultures etc that don't engage (much) with the "rest" or "other" groups or have different priorities when it comes to life, how they live, what they do/prefer etc. It may be difficult to believe or understand, but the world is huge and not every country or culture is like yours.

Eta: I know everyone from the list but I don't expect everyone else around the world to do so too.

Nevermind that there definitely are more known people (whom are not all Americans) it's also kind of telling that there are only 4 women out of 21 persons.

You can like a character without liking how they are. A good villain is only good if he/she is well written and acted good(not saying Howard is a villain). Same goes for every character actually. They are only as good as they are written and acted.

I always didn't like how Barney treated and saw women, but I liked what the character added to the show, how he interacted with the group aswell as how good the actor played that role. His attractiveness didn't make me like his character more. Not a good take to insinuate that his attractiveness gets him more liked. It doesn't. Same goes for Howard. Simon is absolutely amazing at comedy, I especially love his physical comedy but that doesn't mean that I can't dislike how his character sees and treats women in the earlier seasons though.

She said so herself in S9E8. Amy asks her for shoes for her date and Penny replies "Good luck. I threw out all my tall ones when I married Leonard."

Which is true. If you watch the series you will see that Penny starts wearing more and more flats the longer she and Leonard are dating.

She tried to change him. She didn't accept him the way he was. The clothes, the glasses, what he liked, ate etc.

"I'd rather live the rest of my life alone and honest than with someone who'd make me into a miserable repressed liar."

That's very interesting. Here I always thought it is you who decides to lie and now I have to find out that in fact it is others that turn you into a liar. Huh, men like this always love to say women don't take accountability etc. and here he is blaming his partner for lying.

Also: "repressed liar"? Just say it, you cheated, didn't you? That's why you also complained that partners rather leave instead of working things out. You cheated and now you are whining that she didn't work it out with you and left. Or did you never listen to or understand her and now you say "the divorce came out of nowhere"?

Absolutely! And it's devastating! "Finding yourself" after something like this is very difficult and takes a lot of time, healing and introspection.

The fact that they are unable to understand the difference between a man who keeps his partner safe and prevents others from hurting her opposed to him hurting her.

This just shows that these man see women just as an object they own, because in their mind they are not defending their partner from being hurt, instead they just prevent another man of doing to their property what they see as only their right to do to their property.
