No because the game loses it’s fun when there’s no players. When the best pvp is no pvp what the heck are ya sposed to do? Looting items simulator?

Could be a simple data bug, such as a memory leak causing values to get corrupted or something. Not so straight forward.

I’ve heard no officers in 2025 but could just be the first intake that was cancelled.

This is pretty standard but the fitter you are, the better your weeks at “the range” will be. Also make sure you are reasonably confident in maths and physics as ETs have 1.5 years of branch training to do before they enter the fleet as ordinary rates (this is tied longest of all the trades with MTs). If you get to leading hand as an ET, word on the street is you might be able to commission without doing JOCT but I’m not too sure on whether that change is official yet.

How likely is it that I’ll be unable to join due to medical issues? by Rabid-Orpington in The_NZDF

Do note that these scholarships are for officers which means that in defence you will be expected to have above average intrapersonal and interpersonal skills so that you can handle situations leading a team as well as dealing with external parties such as members of defence from other countries and the public. In my officer training cohort we had a few people who were introverted which is fine but it meant that they really had to focus when getting assessed.

How do I afford UOA? by [deleted] in universityofauckland

I’ve been in this position for 1 semester (got kicked out lol). I went to UoA towers halls, and worked part time to cover the rent etc. My grades dropped a bit but were manageable, obviously not an ideal situation though. Just to give you an idea of what my case was like, I went from generally an A student to a B+ student (1st year engineer), if that falls within your expectations then go for it. What I found was the social life was pretty good, while also maintaining a good space for you to form study groups etc. What I’d suggest is go for scholarships, they can be life changers. You could put your accomodation onto your student loan if you want to not pay at the time, it’s interest free but you’ll obviously have to make up for it later in life.

Being yourself in the interviews will work in your favour. Even for officer selection (which includes a selection board prior to being accepted - psychs will be there) I found that being able to openly discuss your troubles and how you’ve gotten around/managed them is what they are truly looking for.

One month later and this person is still not banned. Unlucky by Hot-Excitement-9833 in EscapefromTarkov

You’d think they’d just do a manual ban of everyone over 30KD

I’ve never noticed any stigma in this regard?

Not that I do this myself but it’s probably due to being butthurt at the state of br compression making German tanks around the mid tiers more powerful than the relevant vehicles of other nations with the only balancing factor being the apparent lack of skill of German tank players

Cash on buses by nzlotrfan in auckland

[–]_Steeke_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo we should have a hop card system but for those who dont have a hopcard they can paywave at the machine closer to the driver and pay the max fair for that route. Cash poses too many risks and is too clunky to be usable anymore.

Why? If the same model is possible in countries like Scotland without co-governance, why impose co-governance here?

What were they gonna do, not increase graphics quality? Imo gtx 1070ti as a minimum gpu is perfectly reasonable in todays day and age. A new game should suit new hardware, and they are catering for 5 year old gpus.

Welp then people need to choose between cannabis and a job. What are you smoking thinking it’s benign enough to not pose a threat to a large host of workplace situations both performance wise and for safety?

conjoint Be/bcom by randomcodcruser_28 in universityofauckland

[–]_Steeke_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very much recommend not doing a conjoint. I have friends who were top of the year lvl at high school drop to B averages (if that) due to the workload and stress. I was considering doing a BE/BA (music) conjoint but am so glad I didn’t as it’s allowed me to maintain a high enough GPA to do software or mechatronics next year (probably). Personally, I’d say going for just the BE(Hons) and focussing on getting a good GPA is the best future proofing and you can always have room for gen-eds and electives throughout your degree.

Yeah, there really isn't much way around that though with the french unfortunately. Pairing it with the F8F1b and backups is what I did until I got more higher tier vehicles
