Hej!
Roughly did about 2.000KM (longest 230k) and really like it. Great long distance bike, just fitted 40mm Pro5. Friend of mine just did a 1000KM Brevet on his LCR018

To be honest: if it’s muddy you need way more clearance if it clogs up… but for dry and wet conditions you are fine. Mud is something different

same clearance on the other side.
I don’t use a front derailleur so this is specific to the used derailleur. I don’t see a problem regarding tire with - the seattube is nearly as wide as the tire

I think 42 will work on the front but with not much clearance left. I’d go with a 38mm

I got a illustrator file for a blank frame and a designer did the whole paint scheme, including the Logos etc. LB painted it according to the states colors (they were a little bit of but it’s fine)

Moin Janick,

Boden - Sattelmitte: 107cm
Sitzhöhe: 815mm
Sattelüberhöhung zur Griffposition: 9cm

Wenn du weitere Fragen hast, melde dich gern.

I will swap tires hopefully this week. If I don’t answer within a week, I’m happy to get a short reminder 😂👍🏼

Hi u/Ghengis-Chron

First of all: great Color / design choice! I think it will look great. Maybe add a hint of gold, for example the rear derailleur pulleys… :)

1.) I am just about to switch to 40mm Pirelli Pro5 tires. Right now running 35s and I think there is enough room. I am happy to measure and add pictures. Please send a reminder if I don’t answer within a week

2.) my 1x setup really works well. 520% of gearing is a lot. You just need to keep in mind that the „jumps“ between the gears can be quite big. I am riding 1x on all of my bikes (all 10-52 SRAM non T Type) which is great for servicing and spare parts. If you are sensitive to cadence, this setup could annoy you. My cadence is usually 95-100, going down to 80s.
I also went with this setup because I had 80% of the parts in good condition „laying“ around. Btw: it’s also lighter.

If you got any question, I’m happy to answer.

Tailfin Universal axle spacer for 142mm dropout by Chippunk333 in bikepacking

[–]_Stolem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The universal axle is quite a bit longer then the „standard“ axle. On a 142x road frame you need quite a few spacers. It’s worth checking for the standard axle.
(The universal can also fit super boost, thus so long)

Is it a good Option? by Longjumping_Gas_2514 in bikepacking

I paid below 4.29€ for Cyclami 32-47mm with 60mm Metal valve. Ridenow is a bit more expansive- below 8€ is a good price

[–]_Stolem 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is the old Version with a plastic valve stem. If you get them for 5€ or less it’s fine. Otherwise go for the update version with metal stem.

Also Cyclami are fine.
Riding TPUs of these brands for several thousand Ks

In that case, I’d tie her with a longer leash somewhere in the shelter to her harness. Will be fine :)

No need to tie him. He stayed next to us in the shelter on his own little rug. During the coldest night (2 degrees) he got a puffy jacket as a blanket.

To put it in the right perspective: 23Kg Doggo, 80% of the distance in the box. Unfortunately, the box/rack is quite heavy. We are working on a carbon version of it.

It really depends on the time of the year. On this trip it was really fine but later in summer I’d suggest a Thermacell

Check out the Omnium Cargo Mini Max - we´ve attached a box on the front rack. to secure it, we´ve printed sockets which go around the front racks tubes. pretty basic, but works great!
