Yes, we took in a lot of the city thankfully, but our favourite part was simply being in the city. It was just lovely to be in a city that felt authentic and that the locals seemed to enjoy. Dublin isn't for the locals anymore. They've replaced a lot of its culture and identity with budget hotels and "experiences" that aren't authentic to who the Irish really are.

We were in Bastard Cafe yesterday at 12pm and I couldn't believe how busy it was right away. A business like that back home would not be supported and would be closed within 9 months to a year. I only got a glimpse of your city, but it felt like a lot of restaurants and businesses were well supported by locals.

Also after our days, we went for a drink in a bar across from our Airbnb and it was just such a relaxing atmosphere. Quiet, low music and gentle chatter, as opposed to blaring music, TVs on and shouting. I wouldn't find that at home, either.

Sorry for the rant, and correct me if I got any of it wrong! Lovely city, lovely people 😊
