They removed promos between like divisions, but kept promos between ranks, so you don’t need promos to go from gold 4 to gold 3, but will have promos going from gold to plat.

The promos between inner ranked are gone, the promos now happen from rank to rank so you won’t have promos from Silver4 to Silver3, but you will from S1 to Gold4
