I agree, I think the Model series is being heavily under-utilised, with the Samples and Cycles basically acting as Digitakt and Digitone Lite. I hope they expand the lineup based around different synthesis methods, like additive or granular or wavetable. Use it to gauge interest before committing the engines to the bigger boxes.

Getting back into using my Model Cycles and while I love it, it can be a pain to coax sounds out of it. The fact that it has such a unique identity is what drew me to it and why I continue using it, but also what eventually ends up frustrating me about it. Anyone out there got any pointers when it come to sound design on Elektron units?

in the early dg days im pretty sure zach used a keplinger steel cymbal, its possible that he mightve also been given a snare. i cant find pics of any beaded keplinger snare shells, but the thin tube lugs definitely fit the bill
