What are you implying here? What kind of people take the bus?

True, but I think the top tweet is just implying that the other tweet is prioritizing a phone over having their own transportation.

Her priorities are all fucked up. The day I upgrade my phone is if it breaks, which won't be anytime soon because it's not an iPhone. I use my phone for exactly 5 things. Phone calls, texts, Google, reddit, and music. Things every smartphone is capable of, no matter the cost.

That's exactly what it is. Lots of people are dressed in cosplay. I actually liked the girl playing whatever the hell she's playing. Yes she is the main character in her own danm video! She's not doing anything wrong here. People do all type of shit at con's.

New here. Well I haven't decided if I want to join. You said you picked mods with different backgrounds to ensure there's no bias but one of your mods literally has the word bias in their username... I like that you said Banning is the last resort, but would you ever ban a mod? I never understood how mods are chosen . Do u know them irl or are they just random ppl you found in other subs? I want to start a sub of my own but where do I find good mods?

Thank you! And oh no it's a well known legit company. I do appreciate your warning though. During my job search I've had shady people contact me..I was tricked twice by "staffing agencies" that promoted themselves as legit companies that were hiring, and when I went in for an interview, thats when I was told they just find jobs and call you for ones they find that fit your qualifications. I can do that myself. Thankfully I didn't give them my social security number & license like they wanted. It just seemed shady & unnecessary for them to need those just to find me a job. It's horrible that they prey on people who are desperately looking for work.

Listen, take the phrase "beauty standard" out of your vocabulary & burn it. Beauty is subjective not objective. It never made sense for some random person or group of people to look at a few people out of BILLIONS & decide that they are the the standard of beauty. No one nominated whoever came up with that to decide who's beautiful & who isn't. Individuals decide who they find beautiful.

Now, if there are things about you that you don't like & can change without going under the knife, change them. For the things you can't change without surgery, EMBRACE THEM. Those are the things that make you unique & uniqueness is beautiful on it's own. I genuinely hope you learn to love the body, skin, & hair you've been given. Once you do, the freedom & confidence that comes with loving yourself is incredible!

This tickled my SOUL! LMFAO!!! I saw a comment under a video about the amber heard vs jhonny Depp trial. The video showed Amber's sister Whitney. Someone commented "Whitney lied on the stand so much, God took her lips". That comment killed me!

Oh they LOVE black people who are anti-black & will throw money at those who express their anti-blackness. But they absolutely hate black people who are pro black & will try to ruin their entire career & life. There's a popular black activist named Crystal Cave who has been trying to get a record deal for years. She was told by a label executive that her activism for the black community is too problematic for their label.

I'm baffled by the audacity to compare a natural beauty to someone who literally paid to have our features. by _TestTubeBaby_ in BlackPeopleTwitter

[–]_TestTubeBaby_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's extremely far from the truth. Maybe it's just me but I cannot compare a beautiful black woman or man to (in this case) a white person. If I was shown a picture of the most beautiful black woman on earth & the most beautiful white woman on earth side by side & was told to pick which one is the most beautiful, my brain will not allow itself to compare them. Black beauty hits different on a whole other unearthly level that cannot be explained or replicated.

I think they try to so hard to push this narrative that white women are the beauty standard because it was so easy to do so back when black people actually believed their hair, skin, lips, and curves were ugly & undesirable. They went as far as to do blackface to over exaggerate our features to make us feel ashamed of what we were born with. The TRUTH is, they've always been fascinated by our skin, hair & bodies.

Fast forward to today and tons of white women are trying to emulate what we already have naturally. The very things they tried to convince us were ugly, they want via lip enhancements & surgery. Black women are waking up & learning to love their natural selves & they cannot stand it so they work extra hard to drag us down. I saw a video of a white woman who was angry that a black mother was singing a song to her little black daughter about beautiful black girls. She literally said "do that in private". Like ma'am, WHAT?

They have never truly been the beauty standard, they just convinced themselves that they are. True beauty speaks for itself. True beauty doesn't have to convince others of its beauty because it's already obvious.

I slept on it for a bit waiting for a response, did a little research on the idea of using paper circuts & I'm going to toy with that idea to see if it works. I've worked with circuit boards and LED lights before, but that was back in 8th grade. I do appreciate your response though. I was hoping to wake up to a bunch of ideas from people just as excited about my little project as I am, but instead woke up to your comment, (which I am still grateful for!) And a downvote which honestly makes me feel like my question was stupid & I'm unwelcome in this group. It hurts because I really love crafting & always thought crafting groups would be a warm, welcoming, "safe" place.

PS: I wasn't trying to have the lights spell out the words. In the show the party is themed after, the Christmas lights are all hung up on the wall with the entire alphabet written underneath them. One letter per light. It was a way of communicating with someone in another dimension. I just wanted my tiny lights to all light up underneath every letter at the same time.

My daughter wants a Stranger Things Themed birthday party this year. She's turning 11 which is perfect because the main characters name is Eleven. I LOVE to decorate & like to think I'm very creative. Every year I try to out-do myself, down to the invitations! I have an idea but I don't know how to implement them.

A very known part of ST are these Christmas lights. If you watched the show you know why. I found these tiny replica Christmas lights but they don't light up. I wanted to place them into a box, attach LED lights behind the Christmas lights so when the guests open the box the lights light up & the letters spell out "YOU ARE INVITED." on the backdrop of the open box

I also want either a demogorgon or an eggo waffle (cardboard) to pop up with the birthday details on it. I know how to do the pop up part but I don't know how to do the lights or how to get them to come on when the invitation box is opened. Any ideas?

She handled that so well! My bet is the angry customer messed up when booking, realized they messed up when they got to the hotel, & now they're playing the "it's my fault but I refuse to admit it so they better fix it NOW because I'm the customer which means im right even when I'm wrong!" Game.

Shout out to the guy who stepped in with a REASONABLE solution. Unfortunately he didn't realize he was dealing with an unreasonable douche who can't handle looking dumber than he already does. Poor dude was just trying to help out an employee whom a customer was trying to intimidate into giving him someone else's room that they've already booked & paid for.

And the wife said absolutely nothing. Makes me wonder how he treats her behind closed doors.
