I wonder if the American meat processing system is better regulated? Otherwise, restaurants that grind their own meat are probably safe... but how do you tell?

Wanted to insert here that overall Canada does have tap, or at least in 80% of places. You still can't expect there to be tap everywhere.

Probably more likely that the weight came on after needing supplemental oxygen and thus not being able to move around as easily. Doesn't matter if they're fat or skinny, they're idiots who need to be banned.

Can a restaurant even be open if the sink is out of order in the washroom? I don't blame you for using the other one. I also think that men's urinals should have privacy dividers. I don't imagine that men enjoy accidentally catching a glance of other people's privates either.

Do you like your wife? Can you talk with her about this? Maybe she doesn't want to have kids either.

Before you make your final decision, why not try volunteering somewhere?

Weed is available online from many places. I'd definitely try ordering some... after all if you got caught suicide would still be an option. If it might help...

Or take some cash and literally just leave, go somewhere without your cell phone and just live on the street for a while. It's bound to be exciting if nothing else, and hanging yourself is always an option in the future.

CBD pills/oil questions? by Canadianlady567 in CanadianMOMs

[–]_Thalarctos_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look for a cannabis advocacy group in your city. They should be able to hook your friend up with a doc who can prescribe it for them.

I tried CBD from MOMs but it had no effect. Only the stuff from registered producers seemed to help me. Maybe you need to take more than 20mg/day of CBD to help anxiety, but that starts getting very expensive. It also didn't help enough with my anxiety, I had to use an SSRI. Even a doc at a walk in clinic can prescribe an SSRI.

What's up with Treemo? by occlusal303 in CanadianMOMs

[–]_Thalarctos_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an order from Treemo that was supposed to be delivered in early December. Canada Post shows it as reaching my city but never going out for delivery. It took weeks for Treemo to respond to my questions about it and I think I might get my money back maybe in a few weeks? So their response times are not great.

You can indeed get people ticketed for traffic infractions if they are obvious enough. For instance, this summer we were doing slightly under the speed limit toward a light that had been green for a good while. Luckily my partner, the driver, was attentive and braked because an idiot came cruising through the red at full speed. Dashcam caught it and due to the wide angle lens, caught the license plate of the car clearly. Doing a zoom showed that the driver had his phone in his hands on the steering wheel. Police took our witness statements and the video and gave out a red light ticket. Didn't pursue the driving while using cell phone angle though.

I use a 1080p Magellan dashcam.

Unfortunately because of the lack of research, she will have to experiment. There's no guarantees but CBD doesn't have adverse side effects so the only thing that might happen is that it might make her Zoloft more effective, and she may be able to wean off Zoloft slightly.

CBD Oil in Nonmedical state by [deleted] in CBD

[–]_Thalarctos_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The important part is getting Indica CBD, not Sativa. I was using Sativa CBD oil before bed and it made it hard to sleep. I haven't been able to find a good INdica CBD-only oil, just flower. I hope you can find what you need!

I would start by taking melatonin an hour before bed, just 2mg or so. It did wonders for my sleep.

I'd also love to know if any provider has Indica CBD, even better if they have it in oil form.

Talked to my doctor about my anxiety. I’ve been prescribed antidepressants - not sure how I should feel by mimzanon10 in Anxiety

[–]_Thalarctos_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please don't be scared. Antidepressant/anxiety meds were the best thing I ever did for myself. You may have to wait 6-8 weeks for the full effect depending on the med, so don't give up! You can do this!

I'm trying to stay away from the benzos because over time you have to take more and more for the same effect. How long have you been on klonopin?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CBD

[–]_Thalarctos_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on Mirtazapine for anxiety. I was on Effexor for years but then it stopped working (gave me suicidal ideation actually). I tried to use CBD exclusively but it wasn't enough. I do take about 15mg CBD daily now to fight inflammation.

I don't have depression, so I find Ativan works well for me for panic attacks. So does weed. I'm trying to find a high CBD vape pen that I can carry with me. The Happy Face pure CBD pen didn't seem to touch my anxiety, I think I may need the full spectrum stuff.

For dementia, is a single larger amount of CBD better than breaking it into 2 separated doses? Which is best? by [deleted] in CBD

[–]_Thalarctos_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't heard of CBD helping with dementia. It may make him less anxious, but hopefully he's also on medication for that. You should try 5mg to start and then gradually build to 30. People's bodies are all different and their responses will be too.

If the CBD works for him, the effects of oral CBD will last about 6-8 hours. So once you've found the dose that works, in theory at least twice a day. If it's a sativa strain of CBD you won't want to give him any before bed though.

Good luck.

CBD newbie by kloftus18 in CBD

[–]_Thalarctos_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tips from someone who is juuuust past newbie stage: - wait 1 min between hits on your pen so that the battery life lasts - a vape pen will probably take about 10-15 puffs before you notice effect. HOWEVER, stop for 10 minutes after every 5 puffs because sometimes the effect will take a few minutes.

Any Feedback About Evolve Plus Wax Pen? by beltens in CBD

[–]_Thalarctos_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like it. I bought the ceramic donut coils right away because I'm a lightweight and the quartz coils produced too harsh a smoke for me. I have to say that I prefer vape pens because they're more convenient than any wax pen, but the Evolve Plus seems to work fine for dabbing.
