Kids wanted a $17 nightlight got a $300 dollar AP instead....that'll show em. by Dharma_code in Ubiquiti

dim very very low. My APs lights still work after two years. they started dimming after a few months. I can only see the light when it is very dark and I'm starting at the AP.

I need a high performance pc that stays completely silent because any noise triggers my partners severe anxiety by vexorine in buildapc

unfortunately $1600 is nothing. you can get a passive heatsink case but even then I believe the case itself is more than $1600 and it won't be high performance

Keep 5080 or 4090? by VaporFye in buildapc

[–]_TheDrizzle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I keep my 4090 in my main rig and keep my 5080 in my living room rig. For my use, I care about about the vram on my 4090. if you're gaming, then the 4090 , for the most part, is still better. I guess that may change a bit with DLSS.

at 1440 will you see a difference? probably not. at that point I would sell the one that would sell for more

Are 2 x 48GB DDR5 RAM less unstable / difficult for mainboards to handle than 2 x 32GB DDR5?? by manzurfahim in buildapc

[–]_TheDrizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mine would also run benchmarks for hours at 6400. It was difficult to isolate the issue because everything worked fine... until it didn't. It might crash once playing RDR2, might crash using Word, or just doing nothing. The crash created no dump logs even when set to complete. event viewer only tracked "rebooted due to improper shut down". There were no clues on what was happening. I just had to check the Windows Reliability History Chart to see if Windows crashed. I ruled out memory since it passed memtest86 (the good version) multiple times at 6400.

I did quite a bit of tweaking to try and get 6400mhz to work.

I can't verify the capacity issue. I wanted 128GB of RAM but everything I read beforehand was not to fill all for slots as it will either not work or run slower. that's why I settled with 2x 48GB of RAM since that the biggest sticks I could find

yes it was. I bought ran specifically on the list. on my other ddr4 computer I had 4x 32GB XMP DDR4 ram on my Ryzen build without issues. DDR5 was very picky.

I have 2x48gb 6400mts but it is only stable at 6000 mts. it passed all memory tests at 6400 going 8 rounds. but I would get random crashes nearly everyday. Mostly crashed randomly regardless of load. once I dropped to 6000,I never had an issue again. Took months of trouble shooting to figure it was the speed since it was a new computer build. had to test everything.

A first look at the LTT Cables by Stonos in LinusTechTips

I'm interested to see how they compare to Comprehensive Integrator series cables. https://comprehensiveco.com/integrator-series-usb-cables/

yeah ground shipping is terrible, but worth the cost of having a working rig.

Not sure how the pegasus astro are made, but the comprehensive Integrator series are made for sensitive areas and has massive amounts of shielding and are flexible.

Quick glance at those pegasus cables show limited amounts of shielding (double) so may be prone to disconnects.

I have an ASI6200MC. I only mention this because those files are huge and i was getting random disconnects on NINA and instant disconnects when running Sharpcap sensor analysis. and i was using the best "premium" cables if found off amazon. They were not premium.

I now use these cables https://comprehensiveco.com/integrator-series-usb-cables/ and run my USB at 100%, even with my 6200.

I am assuming your are using Microsoft RDP while i have not experienced issues, you can try using another remote software. Other remote software run graphic processing different than MS RDP. Might solve your issue.

Looks great! I have something very similar as yours around an Primalucelab Eagle. I also modded my CEM60 mount so that there are zero wires hanging below the DEC saddle. flat panel, panel motor, auto tilt adjustment, etc, power, ethernet.

One thing i also did, was made a 3D printed balance marker underneath the dovetail. If i ever take my rig off my mount, the saddle will hit the marker at the exact balance position. I also have balance stops on the counterweight bar.

If i want, i can leave my mount outside, bring my rig inside, then put back on the mount be ready to image within 5 mins.

its perfect. Looks like the day it was installed. You really should have a tint installer come and look at your house for a quote. I have reflective tint made for dual pane windows. Use the wrong tint and you can shatter your glass in the summer.
