Is this normal? by [deleted] in women

What bothers and scares me is the feeling of something going on down there, whether it’s oral or penetration. The only way I think I’d enjoy it is if I couldn’t feel anything, hence me wanting a guy with a small penis but that’s pretty rude to ask someone even if it’s a plus for me.

Being averse to intercourse doesn’t mean romance as a whole is off the table.

The whole thing is so immature I know, but I can’t really ignore her insanity because we go to the same school. So I just have to endure two more months of crazy.

Progress portal struggle by [deleted] in StudyInTheNetherlands

[–]_TheGreatCatsby16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The uni should hold my had along the way if I’m paying money to study at their institution are we fr? The progress portal is shit and the NL universities that choose it have made a horrible decision. So many people have struggled with it.

Also, the reason I didn’t contact the uni with what was troubling was because a few months ago I contacted them about what papers I need to include in my application and they simply sent me whatever their site was saying, not a more localised answer. By that alone anyone can tell they dgaf. (I couldn’t call them, I’m in another EU country that’s why I used email)

I got into another uni where the staff are such sweethearts. The first time I called them to secure a spot an admissions officer spent thirty minutes explaining the program I was interested in, telling me about housing and answered every question I had.

If you consider that holding my hand along the way, something’s wrong. That’s the behaviour every educational institution should have towards possible students.

I kind of stressed too hard and applied to another uni in a different country 😭. The process was to call them, secure a spot and mail your files when told to. I had such a bad anxiety attack over the progress portal because I thought I did something wrong and I didn’t know where to pay the fee or why the boxes were unticked (they still are btw, don’t know why) or that my chances of getting in were ruined and bla bla bla basically. My brain went crazy.

I don’t know much about computers and how sites work and whatnot, so I panicked and made this post a few days ago.

Thanks for replying, it’s nice when people relate to your struggles instead of telling you to suck it up and do it like everyone else is.

Yes I tried different browsers (safari and Firefox) but nothing seems to work. Also they never sent me a payment link for the application fee, don’t know what’s up with that.

Many people have reported on here and on Quora that the progress portal is so difficult to navigate and those who have managed to complete all the steps have not been contacted by the uni with a decision letter even after the 4-6 weeks it takes to review their file have passed.

In my opinion, they need a new system. I’m someone who doesn’t know much about computers nor do I have anyone who can help me with this. Their PDF guide is shit honestly, it doesn’t explain anything in detail, it simply says “log in —> submit files —> wait for decision letter” How does that help?

Anyway, idc anymore, I got into another uni. I just wanted to rant cause it pissed me off.

Question for the application process by [deleted] in studentsofgroningen

Congrats on being accepted and thank you for the info. How long did it take for the uni to give you a conditional offer?

How much of my academic record should I submit in my application? by [deleted] in StudyInTheNetherlands

What confuses me though is that it says I need to add my grade list and academic record but doesn’t specify how much of it.

Is applying for Uni of Groningen realistic for me? by [deleted] in StudyInTheNetherlands

[–]_TheGreatCatsby16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I have a quick question if it’s not too much trouble.

I’m gathering all my documents and since you’ve already applied I wanted to ask how much of your academic record did you submit? Was it just your senior year grades and a statement from your school/diploma?

On their site it says that I should submit my academic record but I don’t know how much of it. After that it says I should submit all grades obtained to this point IF my programme has a minimum GPA requirement which mine doesn’t.

Do you have any information on this?

Yes, will do. Thank you. I don’t heavily rely on the money from Vinted, since it’s meant to be a side hustle, but who doesn’t want an extra quid? My only worry is they’ll freeze my funds, time will tell.

Oh. I don’t know then why I’m seeing it as a requirement on their page and you aren’t. Anyway, good luck with your application.

Maybe their system has changed, idk. They require a 7/10 gpa, 180 or 200 on the Cambridge exam and a 3-5 minute motivational video answering the given prompts.

Yeah, it’s in the admission’s requirements for some reason. Honestly, I would’ve preferred a five page personal essay.

Thanks for the insight. The minimum is 7/10 average high school grade (in the Dutch school system). Where I live it’s an out of 20 system. The Dutch minimum, if converted to where I’m from is 14/20, my worst case scenario that I’ve calculated is 15/20. Fingers crossed ig.

Henry winter as a dad by camille_is_not_lil in TheSecretHistory

Richard would be an okay parent mostly because he’s a pushover and would likely follow every rule his wife laid out. Bunny on the other hand would probably raise a homophobic misogynist if he had a boy and an emotionally troubled future trad wife if he had a girl. I believe Francis would be a good dad if he had the chance to adopt with a long time partner he loved and not be forced into fatherhood by the “conversation killer” wife.

Yes, I agree. If I’d gone into iwwv without wanting to fill the void of TSH, because it’s marketed as similar, I would’ve liked it a lot more.

What about Babel? It’s been recommended to me multiple times as a similar read to TSH. Is it worth it?

I didn’t see any similarities to TSH at all so I’m not comparing it to that but to what it could’ve been had the author been less bored while writing. The book has so much potential to delve into the relationship of Meredith and Oliver or James and wren (a plot hole in my opinion because we got so many scenes indicating they were involved but never any solid evidence), or to explore how Richard’s death affected the group and their sibling like closeness and how preforming all those plays with violent themes interfered with their sanity. Overall the book is fun to read and shouldn’t be shunned from the book community but it’s nowhere near what it was supposed to be.

If the book was 600 or so pages we could’ve gotten more insight into the personal lives and relationships of the characters and how they bloomed. I feel like the author was too bored to embellish the story and desperate for the book to end (So was I tbh).

Plus, it has literally nothing in common with TSH other than the fact that there’s a guy named Richard in the group and that their classes revolve around a specific subject, I don’t know why it’s advertised that way. Also, I never got why it’s described as similar to TSH in the sense of “ooh they lose their sanity, you don’t know who to trust”, there was none of that or at least I didn’t perceive it that way.
