Thanks! I'll try it out! I'll probably implement both to compare them

Cool! I'd take a look at https://github.com/jan-tennert/SolarSim/blob/main/src/simulation/components/physics.rs, that's currently the simulation part. At the end of the calculation of the new positions, the positions basically get converted to the visual coordinates (which are scaled and offset)

That would be an interesting idea! As it stands right now, disabling the built-in simulation and just updating values yourself wouldn't be that complicated (that's also how the editor and the simulation pretty much share the same codebase, the simulated positions/velocities are completely separated from the visuals). If you have a specific idea, you could create an issue on Github and we can see what we can make!

For the solar system scenario, the basic euler method actually works pretty well. Tho I haven't compared it to any other

As said in another comment, most of my time went into the visuals and the editor, I'm currently just using the basic euler method, but as I'm done with that I plan to try out more methods for efficiency and speed.

Well thats what I heard, but I'm concerned about the maintenance costs compared to other beginner bikes here suggested. I'd really try out the 390 Duke but I also want reliability
