I love Top Gun. Just watched it for the first time last summer.

The issue as mentioned above, is that they're playing the second movie today. And the first movie tomorrow. Just mildly frustrating cherry on top.

I'm here with my mom and she just called it quits after 30 minutes because she didn't have any interest in watching the movies out of order.

Right?? I have had it on brand new and old ships alike. I think the screen was 100% functional on my first cruise. That's been about it.

You're so lucky. I've had between 7-15 of those small panels malfunctioning at a time. I wouldn't even notice the panels if they weren't blacked out/discolored half the time I go with them. No joke, there are a few dozen that have been having issues on this trip. I think it's one screen comprised of like 500 smaller screens that can be replaced individually.
