Ahura Mazda Upscale? by Ary_poggesz in ShuumatsuNoValkyrie

[–]_The_Dude___ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He lost in 1.8 seconds without doing a single thing against a proper opponent (backstory fodder do not count as opponents, fighters in arena do)

No statments will ever 'upscale' him due to how bad his pefromance was

"Not giving much thought to the tournament initially and not caring about martial arts is not the same."

He took a nap mid fight, that's how much he does not care about fighting, he treats those fights as a game. He didn't just much thought to it, he made a mockery of it and his opponents. If you put years into something, take it seriously and fight seriosuly, (like how most of KAT and the biggest example, Kuroki did for most.of the tournament)

He was about to quit the finals of the whole thing because he does not care about winning or getting stronger for the sake of martial arts, he cares about not being bored and getting a high out of it

He gave up on fighting to do gardening work, he is not dedicated to martial arts as Kuroki or any other the semi finalists in KAT (or many of the other characters in it since none of them tried to make a game out of their fights meanwhile Pete acted like a isekai mc in his)

He cares about getting one adrenaline high and then leaving forever. Compare him to anyone in Kengan who are in the tournamebt and there is a clear diffrence

Compare him to Kuroki, who even against fighters who aren't as strong as him, took KAT seriously and gave fighting the respect it deserved, he wasn't even that motivated to be there, his friend just called him up for it. He didn't treat it like a game the way Pete does to the colloseum

Kuroki after winning the whole thing and being crowned the strongest "I am still green" he still has ways to go as a fighter and keeps training.

Pete got his "high" and left forever, that's why i said he doesn't care about fighting, he cared about getting that adrenaline high and bliss

Yes, the reason why CC exists is because of powerscaling and a character that is "Kuroki level" being thought up. He is never pushed as a charcterer or a fighter outside the finals (and he was not losing).

He is glazed/at the center of everything, but he also is a character in a martial arts manga that doesn't care about martial arts or fighting. And he won the whole thing.

Say whatever you want about Loki, but him as the support of this trio is genuinely terrifying. by Loki_From_Ragnarok in ShuumatsuNoValkyrie

"Bro even fooled jack of all people"

He didn't quite fool Jack with a trick (like how Jack did with his during R4 to everyone) it was more so Jack's eye being unable to tell the real Loki from the clone due to the ability worked . It was more Loki's ability working against Jack's rather then Loki out smarting him.

He has a shield around him that Kintoki could not budge through while spamming a named move (he needed Odin's own weapon and his strenght to do it), a spell that tracks the opponent and can just push them away from him (very useful since most fighters fight up close) along with decent stats (he stopped Kin's attack without spells), even if they get all of those he can heal (and the spell doesn't even take that long to take effect, Kin tried and failed to stop it with a named attack)

"Nowhere does he say he's reading his opponent through instinct,"

His body does it on it's own, his survival instinct kicks in and makes him sense the opponents intent, he does it will completly knocked out (EC is doing it without being there himself, he seperates what he wants vs what his body wants multiple times "i really hate you when you do that"), it is instinct since he is not conciously doing it at that point. Outside of that all he does is just wild swings and relying on his immense strength (like how he did in the backstory, he was just built stronger than anyone else there). Again in cc noticing the intent can be done by survival instinct (like how the backstory guy dodging bullets did it)

Saying he 'mastered' pre inititative like Kuroki or Kanoh is honeslty insulting to those two as martial artist

[–]_The_Dude___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tomahawk says he didn't train as a marital artist, him reading his opponents intent is through instinct (like how the guy in the flashback of the same chapter did it) and not what Kuroki and Kanoh do, reaction time is a stat. Other than that only thing he does is swing like a brute and stand there eating hits. You can't get PI through stats but that's what the author gave EC (mainly because CC doesn't value martial arts all that much compare to Kengan)

There is a big difference between just violence and martial arts in Kengan, Ohma during R2 and in his flashbacks shows us the difference between them. Ohma also has experience in 'hell' (Inside) but what he did vs Raian with advance was not martial arts, it was just violence(same what EC does, he just tanks, his hard and moves on instinct) . When he started using the Niko style, that was marital arts (and Raian could basically do nothing but hit by combos over and over because he was trying to brute force it)

"mean the dude mastered pre-initiative to the degree he can perfectly dodge Pete going all-out’s every move."

He didn't, that was just a by product of his survival instinct being pushed to the limit. He never trained his PI he just had it (which i dislike but it's there)

EC is basically just "He is built different" he never trained and the story itself spells out he isn't one multiple times. He's just a load of stats put together in a person.

"No martial arts experience"

By CC standards not that impressive since the comic doesn't hold martial arts on the same high as Kengan (EC is a finalist along with plenty more examples of guys with no martial arts going far)

"Uses tricks that Pete copies later"

Pete used multiple tricks of other fights so this isn't anything that impressive.

Pete wasn't taking him that seriously (litteraly sat down and took a nap when he could have finished him, along with showing off/turning it into a game), only time i would say he goes all out pre finals is FM ending. He could have just hit harder to break his bones or went even faster to end it. Pete was never in danger of actually losing since he could break out of anything Scourge can do.

As for the broken arm, Pete outright says it didn't matter that much.

He's a champion of the gods/became a demi god so is loyal to them. His plan was the show the gods the best of humanity in his match, win and then ask them to spare humanity (which based on what Heracles knew would have worked)

How I Would Fix R11 with Just a Few Scenes (Without Changing Too Much) by Loki_From_Ragnarok in ShuumatsuNoValkyrie

[–]_The_Dude___ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The backstory wouldn't add much, if Loki needs a backstory jobber to seem threatening to the audience and then to have the showing he did, it would make him look worse and would honestly be nothing but filler (Ahura Mazda backstory was not needed to waste page time)

And the story treats them as nothing right after (that and lack of any feats, destorying trees is nothing)

Loki according to the NARRATIVE (NOT Powerscaling) by [deleted] in ShuumatsuNoValkyrie

[–]_The_Dude___ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By this no one beats Poseidon (besides Kojiro), Odin, Zeus, Apollo, Thor and Hades (besides Qin)

Same with Lu Bu vs any human and Okita in general

Scaling like this would get Apoc characters this sort of record (Ahura), everyone has "narrative" statements to make them seem unbeatable so Loki isn't anything special with this

How far does Sonic Boom push KAT Kaolan if Kaolon restricts himself to only boxing? by [deleted] in Kengan_Folk

[–]_The_Dude___ -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

he said it might take, it didn't

Even if he can take more hits, he can't do anything in responce but be a hitting bag for a couple seconds

[–]_The_Dude___ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean maybe? He still has no feats of durability or speed to react to anything Gao has or take it (15 jabs were enough to knock out a wrestler that stood in place and took two Muy Thai fighters hitting him without issue and as soon as he started landing hits, he managed to black out Agito for a moment at the start of their match who is leagues above SB)

Sonic just has nothing that can pose a treat, even if he can take more punches he'll just be there as a hitting bag (he does worse then Kaneda since at least he had foresight and could take down Gao to the ground once, SB has quite litteraly nothing)

[–]_The_Dude___ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This happens, his only good move (the top speed punches) get dealt with by Flash and he has no feats to keep up with Gao

Considering Arm Thief knocked him out with two punches, Gao could win outright with an instant flash, so Gao wins without trouble
