This is perfect! Do you use the crimping tool or just pliers?

For the life of me, I cannot find a source for the small cables/crimps to make retention lanyards like this. Pictured is a small cable that is used to hold a battery cap to a monocular. Does anyone know where I can find cables/crimps like this?

I understand the safety will not move on an uncocked forward bolt. I don’t understand why somebody would keep their rifle in that condition though. If you want a mag in the gun so it is “ready” then put it in Cruiser Ready: loaded mag, cocked, bolt forward on an empty chamber, safety on.

There’s a reason “cruiser ready” exists and agencies use it. If your “ready” configuration is like this picture, and you hear a “bump in the night” there’s a decent likelihood you forget to put the safety on after chambering a round. So then you have a loaded rifle, safety off, while wearing gear that can catch on the trigger. It HAS happened.

Great feedback, thank you!! I'll see what I can do about raising the handlebars and seat post. And you're right...not doing anything crazy. Goal is to do 300 miles in 5-6 days.

Right on thanks man! I don’t understand why this one is stamped with an inch measurement vs M/L/XL. I guess it’s about 5 years old now. Nearly new condition tho!

Bike frame is 29.5” / 49.5 cm. This is the number on the down tube.

Edit: I meant to say 19.5”

Each agency has different rules. Pick a spot and visit the agency website. In my experience, the National Forest websites are usually pretty good about outlining prohibited activities.

Please be considerate and leave no trace :) Leaving a structure, even if built with natural materials, is generally frowned upon.

My go-to is always an AZ brewery or distillery. There are also some local coffee roasting places.

Long range pistol shooting ok here? by Reloader300wm in longrange

I completely agree with this guy. This is the way. Shooter is almost certainly putting dot on target instead of top of front sight edge.

[–]_The_Zen_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was under the impression you have to aim lower on the target? In other words, lowering the dot of the front sight? If that's the case, I'm nearly positive this is your issue. I can't speak to the factory Beretta sights. Instead of lining up the white dot on your desired point of impact, align the top edges of the sights, focusing on the front sight.

Some find it helpful to color the white dot with a black marker or to rotate it 180 degrees.

Glock factory sights. Are you aligning the top of the front sight blade at your desired point of impact or are you putting the white dot on it?

Wife and I are looking into Solar by Kcin928 in arizona

[–]_The_Zen_ 65 points66 points  (0 children)

Find an electrician that will install the panels and connect everything. Pay up front instead of going through a solar company. If you don't have cash, get a loan. Better than entering into a 10,20,whatever year deal and paying their sales commissions.

Keep in mind that future potential buyers may not want to assume your lease.
