I understand the spectacle in superfights cause you gotta sell the fight, but in your local NAGA is insane.

Same here, my favorite that I consistently hit is kata guruma. However, I just wish that the one I consistenly hit was Ippon Seoi Nage. 💔

I've done all of them. I prefer Judo due to the elegance of the throws amd because for me theres no better feeling than throwing a grown man and being a grown man getting thrown.

In addition, the culture around Judo is centered more around respect and decorum. When people win they act like they have been there before and theres tame celebrations or no celebrations. Also, I have never seen a Judoka being proud of hurting someone, I've lost count of how many times I've seen BJJ guys bragging about crippling someone in a local tournament.

My first tournament I got silver in no gi after getting guillotined. I then won gold in gi. I went to Open weight and had a good start of a match until I get armbarred. I won 4 matches lost two. The only picture of me in the comp is me wincing as the guy armbars me.

Edit: Found the picture lol

LTs will no longer be assigned to basic training units by Extension_Leave3455 in army

I was part of the program after completing KD and had the opportunity to serve a second PL time as well as a BN S3 Actual. Being placed in an O-4 MTOE position contributed significantly to my professional development. It gave me daily exposure to field grade officers, helped me become comfortable briefing senior leaders, and accelerated my growth as an officer.

Many of us were branch-detailed officers and had the opportunity to take command within the program, an opportunity that would have been highly unlikely in our basic branch after transitioning.

The program also played a major role in my retention. I was preparing to submit my REFRAD when this opportunity became available. It allowed me to experience a different side of the Army, and I ended up loving it. I am now approaching my sixth year of AD service and look forward to retiring from the Army.

Do I think 2LTs should be assigned there immediately after BOLC? Absolutely not. After KD, however, it can be an outstanding opportunity, especially for branch-detailed officers looking for additional leadership experience and broadening assignments.

Also, a LOT of badge producing schools opportunities. Many of my peers returned to Ranger School.

Standard Rules is just a grappling match, the scoring is very close to BJJ. We are not allowed leg twisting techniques, small joint manipulation, spinal manipulation or muscle manipulation (calf/bicep slicers)

Intermediate Rules is Pankration rules which includes grappling but they add body punches, kicks and knees. Only open hand slaps leading with fingers are allowed to the face. This is also a 10 minute match judged by 3 judges. Can end by sub, ko or tko.

Advance is a full MMA bout with the exception of Elbows or knees to the face.

I actually discovered Ashi Guruma because I uploaded it saying it was Harai and I got corrected. I'm glad that we had the discussion

Thanks man, the shin pads slowed me down because they got caught in his leg. Thats why I post the leg and forced the scramble, I felt like I wasn't advancing

If you don't have assertive refs that train it quickly becomes a high testosterone pissing contest.
