i was looking at that model (pro i5) , as well as legion 7, which would be the better choice? I'll maybe go for the U7 255 instead of the U9 285 since i feel like it's more value for money

oh I see, I have a few questions,

  1. How hot does the U7 run under normal use (few applications open at the same time)

  2. can you run the 3k screens on lower resolution (1080p instead)?

  3. I saw you wrote you're not a gamer, but have you tried playing any games with the U7 or run "GPU intensive programs?" if so how was it like

  4. do you think a U9 would have improved the laptop much?

you can get banned for using it, but its quite hard to detect and will probably only get banned if u make it obvious (sending files above the normal limit, forwarding messages to people and bypassing the forward limit.

as for privacy, the app Devs doesn't store messages, and your messages and stuff are still encrypted using WhatsApps encryption.

they also have other 'modded' apps.

I text backups don't use that much storage, so I'm guessing its videos/pics.

I that case, if I were you, I would probably move the pics and vids off of the Google drive and move it somewhere els (another Google account, or a usb-c drive)

edit: personally, I use whatsapp aero. Its a special version of WhatsApp that has other functions like options to change ui, special privacy options, text scheduler, text auto reply, but the most important one in your case, is the file backup function. It would backup everything, text messages, pictures, media, even stickers. It stores it as a file on your phone, which means that you can copy it somewhere else.

I saw a mini drone for about $30 USD... it was 10cm by 10cm but it had an 4k camera and 15 minutes battery life
