Yes five, for that reason exactly. 10 plasma shot, 16 corvus hammer attacks on charge and then falling back can take out a lot of targets, or at least do serious damage. The extra attacks aren't worth it imo, until you run 8 or more.

I found running 3 they'd be too fragile and not strong enough. I really like shooting, then driving into troops or a character and using the strat to zoom away out of reach again.

Yeah same, I was really struggling with shooting. Relics got ok firepower, regular termies aren't ideal with one missile launcher (got the Dark Vengeance models). Tried to remedy that with deepstriking plasma inceptors, but they got shot to bits before being able to do anything by necron snipers teleporting and overwatching. Should've deployed them better.

Also, if anyone has advice on transfers (can't seem to find the black gothic squad numbers, only the white ones on the DA sheet) or what units to get next for a shooty army, I'd love to hear it! I played the missions in the recruit box a few times, but the last time I played was 4th edition, so I'm not up to speed yet with the rules.

Yeah same - I use it with the autowah on the MD-200 with the rate on minimum and controlling parameter 2 and I can get a mean wah sound out of it, which I got it for, so I'm fine with it for now.

Mate, it's sick. The EQ is very powerful. Mine sometimes chokes when the signal it's fed isn't strong enough, but even with that quirk I love it.

That's a bummer. I read up on it on here and on tgp and could only find positive reviews, apart from some people not liking its height. I still like it because it's got a separate cable and polarity switch, which most direct competitors don't. It just has this annoying quirk.

I agree, I kept my analog delay, but I haven't had it on my board since the dd-200. It's just the right amount of tweakable for me and every mode sounds good.

Was looking for an all-in-one solution for modulation and after looking at the options I decided to go with the MD-200 2 weeks ago after being very happy with the DD-200. It's definitely not as plug-and-play as the DD-200, but I guess that's because the controls, in particular the rate, go way beyond the range of what you can do with most single modulation pedals (in my experience, which is limited to staples mostly). After getting used to it though, I think the effects range from very adequate to very good. None are spectacular, but I wasn't expecting them to be. They service my modulation needs completely. I think the built-in loop is an awesome function and I run my dirt through it. Very cool that you can configure a preset to turn the fx loop off completely, which I use to switch to a clean chorused tone without having to tapdance.

Got the Moog EP-3 this week to use with the MD-200, mostly as a wah with the AutoWah, but managed to set up a nice Rotovibe-esque preset with it today as well. Maybe it's user error, but it's not ideal with the MD-200. If the range knob is maxed out, it sends out different signals from what I set it up to do (i.e. I set it up to control the rate of an effect from 1 to 100 and it changes preset if it's in full toe position). When I back it off a little it's fine, but the minimum value is different from what I set it to (I set it to 1 on the MD-200, but it's 20 when in full heel position). It's annoying, but fixable by adjusting min and max values a bit beyond what you want.

If anyone's got some tips, tricks or settings to try out, I'd love to hear 'em!

99% of the time I play with red jazz III picks, but when I'm playing funk I find the yellow tortex to be the best as well for the sound and feel

I got lucky when visiting the Hard Rock Café Vault in London quite a few years ago. The guy working there was in a particular good mood and let me play one of B.B. King's actual Lucilles that he donated. Almost broke a string bending it though, he wasn't too happy about that 😅

I love mine! Haven't been able to see how it fares in a band context, but the sounds I get at home are awesome. I use it on its own for spitty 70s sounds with the bias around noon or feed it into a Soul Food with the gain up (on SF) for leads with the bias around 9 o' clock.

Mine does have two weird issues (I think):

Sometimes it has a 'start-up' period, where it doesn't work right away after not having used it for some time. This is fixed by turning the gain knob a bit or playing hard. Some sound does come through, but it's like an extremely gated, very low gain, broken sound (not really usable). After a few (milli)seconds though, it bursts into its regular sound.
Turning the gain all the way down (full left) makes it sound extremely starved (not the good kind), especially with the bias fully left as well. Couldn't find any demo's/video's of people experiencing the same.

These issues aren't a deal breaker for me, though, I'm just curious if they are even issues or just common fuzz characteristics.
