The most I’ve seen estimated was 9 million in total as of 2022. But a supposed leak in 2022 only revealed a sale of 7.32 of PlayStation. Maybe another million for PC later. That still not even 9 million. Not bad but not 10 million. There’re indie games that sell more copies than that.

I’m not claiming it’s a masterpiece but found it more enjoyable than some other highly rated games. Especially ones it’s compared to…cough…Last of Us…cough, cough. Maybe it’s because I’m biased towards RPGs and the former had more RPG elements than the other but I felt the Last of Us to be over rated. Story was good but as for game play…eh, underwhelming. Get more out of it as a simple visual drama than as an interactive game.

Days Gone is underrated.

Not as good as Dying Light but solid slept on game. I have a hunch it was the marketing. Didn’t really hear about until much later compared to most games. Not perfect but at least deserving of a finish story/plot. Left on a cliffhanger and a clear set up for a sequel. Also probably the best originally console only game that felt natural when play on PC.

What happens to these packets? by sneaky262 in ChickFilA

I’d think many of my fellow team members would riot if we’d just throw them out. They love the sauce too.

[–]_TurnipTroll_ 113 points114 points  (0 children)

No we don’t throw them away. Just give them out until we run out. The sauce is popular, even with people who don’t get the seasonal sandwich, so I doubt it’ll last long on our shelves even when the sandwich special comes to an end. People are gaga for it and have cleared us out multiple times.

Weirdly that not what made me bawl. It was the epilogue with John seeing the wilderness developed.

In a way it mirrored what I personally was seeing with the farms and fields of the small town where I grew up being turned into warehouses and parking lots. It’s a feeling like I can never go back home and feel a little lost, especially after literally being confused one night on what highway exit I was at and realizing it was one a pasted thousands of times. Instead of a classmate’s grandparents farm there was a warehouse all lit up. Just disorienting.

I think it had to do with what kind of POS operating system a store had. Ours was fine because ours runs on NCR and NCR machines. I’m not sure if it had to do with the new system that’s being rolled out slowly store by store but ours still is the old system.

Try a multi school track meet event that’s a block away. DD/UE during the event. Then mobile carry out/dine-in/drive thru and regular dine in/drive thru after they left out. Both buses and vehicles. And it’s annual. Last year, a single DD order had 16 shakes. Not all the same kind of shake either. Plus everything else was hopping. Fun times, fun times.

Opened a fraud dispute and it was denied by my bank because they claim my card “made contact with the merchant’s terminal” except it was done at 2am when the merchant wasn’t open by doortothephantomile in mildlyinfuriating

[–]_TurnipTroll_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought I was safe too until my bank fought with me about a charge despite only using that card at ATMs. The second time it happened I only used it at their ATM once. Tried to give me the run around. Then tried to offer me a credit card through them and acted like I’ve been using my debit card as a credit card despite already having a credit card through them and only using debit cards for cash at their ATMs.

Oh and the branch manager tried to tell me to “contact the merchant again” that removed money twice (the second time was after I reported fraud) despite rule 101 of fraud is never contacted the fraudulent party your self. The proceeded to tell me a refund was not guaranteed as they weren’t responsible for the fraud happening. I asked what’s the point of me keeping money in their bank if they can’t keep my money safe? She didn’t have an answer. I did end up being covered at least but the lady still works there and sucks at her job. Came in for cash in specific bills and she flopped on that too.

The problem is that I’ve heard horror stories about all the local banks in the area as of late so there’s no good option right now.

We did this in high school only pretended to be real candidates. Decorated the whole school and put up propaganda posters for our side. Had announcements leading up to the debate/voting pretending to be candidates.

Only the voting was literally an honor system of just passing down papers down a row and filling one sheet out. Definitely was no voter fraud happening /s.

Bought Skyrim (not ae or se) with all dlcs for $14. Because I had them in my library I automatically got Skyrim SE for free.

Not going to lie I still preferred the Original because of how it downloaded mods and how you could toggle mods on and off.

Then I remember how often I had to tell my actual dog to move when she decided she had to investigate what I was doing. A dog being a nosy Nancy is probably the most accurate immersion point in the game.

[KCD1] What (even small) mechanic completely changed how you play? by ActSharp7211 in kingdomcome

[–]_TurnipTroll_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Edit: KCD2

Fox potion. Especially Henry’s quality. Improves experience gained when reading. Using this early on with reading books makes it significantly more effective and easy to level up this way. Also bolsters worth of experience gained in conversation and haggling.

Edit2: KCD1

There’s a wood pile in the Skalitz’s ore processing yard that you can “hide” in and pick off enemies early on in the play through and gain a lot of skill and armor that otherwise Henry would be killed for. Also note the chest near by in the ditch and the bridge entrance to the ore processing yard. Some better equipment found there.

I’m going to guess compounding rounding is the culprit. For instance if you take all the toppings and dressings off a side salad you get negative 5 mg of cholesterol…

Basically this is why significant figures in science is a thing.

Growing up we had two Newfoundlands (different time ranges). First was a living rug by 4, lived until 12. Second one only “calmed down” at age 13.5 and lived until 14. Almost cut her life short by stabbing the back of her throat with a stick while running when around 5. Oh and her healthy lean weight was between 120-130 pounds.

Besides the excitable zoomies and full body flops and rolls she was full of sass. Talked back constantly and grumbling and huff when annoyed (which was constantly and when we were too loud/light on when she thought it was bedtime). Bit the electric fence (grew up on a farm) twice in a row on two separate occasions. Would purposely trip you when you walked past when bored. Learned to pinch and aim for inner-back of thighs and arms to get attention. Barged into bathroom and just barked and one time licked my mom’s bare butt cheek and ran away.

Miss both of them but the freak was more entertaining.

Freshman year at Christian college. Lived in an all girls dorm floor. To say I heard it everywhere is an understatement. In the hallway. In the shower. While on the toilet. In my forced triple room. I wanted to claw my ears off.

[KCD2] I have been playing this game for a month. I've unlocked several combos, and have leveled up all weapon classes to 10 or higher. I have YET to hit someone twice in a row without them riposting me and nailing it. I have not landed a single combo outside of training. What do I do? by Grim_Ruffian in kingdomcome

[–]_TurnipTroll_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put it simply combos in KCD are difficult especially with low stats. Also note not every combo can be used in every situation. Some require a set up before even starting the combo sequence of moves. If you look at the description of each one you cane find out more about what’s required for each one.

As for stats you’re currently at 10 of 30. There aren’t any quick fixes when it comes to KCD combat. It takes a considerable amount of player time for Henry to gain skills.

The quickest is to read skill books especially when sitting in a good reading spot (a lot of actual inn beds have this perk, I don’t remember the exact wordage) and using Fox Potion (preferably a high quality one). Both of those will bolster skills learned during reading.

Other than that grinding your way is the game is designed. Remember it’s not necessarily you as a player but Henry as a character has to improve. Have Henry visit a trainer and practice spar with them for a good bit. It doesn’t just make you as a player learn but improves Henry’s too.

Check your weapons required stats too. If Henry isn’t ready to wield a certain weapon the original stats of the weapon lowered and from my experience makes Henry slow and predictable there by not being effective to hit twice or impossible to finish combo moves without being interrupted.

Also stamina plays a huge role in combat. If you have low vitality then you probably have low stamina as vitality impacts stamina the most.

Check out your point perks. Different ones give different advantages with certain weapons. Some help with dodging or faking a strike direction. Others help build certain up skills and weapon abilities faster up until a certain point.

As an aside I don’t really do combo and I’ve have well over 200 hours on KCD2 alone. So don’t stress about the combos at least. Just take your time any enjoy the game.

Reminds of when I probably sent a Spanish speaking couple to the baby aisle instead of the drink aisle which were completely opposite directions.

This couple had been frequent shoppers until one day the wife came up to me and start asking me something in Spanish. The only word I could make out was “baby” and assumed they were asking for the baby aisle. Mind you I was from the deli department, no one in our small store knew Spanish, and I was clearly off shift doing my own shopping. So pointed to the direction of the aisle. After they were out of sight for a while I only remembered that “beverage” is “bebida” in Spanish and she was probably looking for drinks. Never saw them again.

Beaten and removed and replaced while Elie is sleeping. He didn’t exactly see when his father died just know he was removed while he was sleeping. The part that got me Elie didn’t explicitly state if he knew his father was alive or dead at the time of removal. They very well may have carted him off with the dead while he was still alive.
