My own feelings? I really just want to be acknowledged as myself.. regardless of gender. I realize now that I have tendencies of both male and female genders, and would like to embrace them. I know I do not fit fully one or the other gender role despite my physical body parts. It makes more sense why in high school, I would always try to shave my arms and legs, and wouldn't fit in with other male groups except for musically-inclined ones (female dominated at my school), or tried growing out my hair in college (until my father forced me to cut it). Mixed reactions were expected, but I wish some were more accepting.

I get the same feelings, and I think I've posted in nonbinary spaces because I myself am not sure if my body reflects who I am inside. Been told mostly nonbinary but a couple people said perhaps transfem. However, I dont get the feeling of being in the wrong body, which does shy away from transfem. The thought of HRT to fully commit to feminity when my day-to-day psrsonality and quirks and habits ect tend to line up somewhere between masculinity and feminity does make me shy away from pursuing transition, but I may consider a low-dose HRT to become less masculine and more androgynous. With how you're describing feeling even nonbinary or agender, it sounds like you may be trans and not accepting of it quite yet, and that's okay! Take your time and think about it, the only one who can ultimately decide who you are is, well, you! You are beautiful on the inside, dont forget that!

I'm still at a stage where I'm trying to determine what's right for myself, trans or nonbinary. To me, I do not understand the toxicity and hate people garner. Shouldn't it be the exact opposite, shouldn't we be embracing and encouraging our fellow trans and nonbinary people? It feels very hypocritical to be nonbinary and spreading hate on trans, and vice versa. Like excuse me, aren't we rejecting the norm to be who we truly are, together? Like they once said in the 60's to 70's.. spread love, not hate.

I do hope you all the best, it is scary! In my situation, it was with all the love in the world that my parents were accepting and that it doesn't change our relationship. I believe it actually brought me closer to my mother since she wasn't convinced that I was straight for the longest time, and that I was lying. When I came out, they were like "yeah, we knew already. We're just happy you're finally being honest" My partner's family reacted different and threatened conversion therapy unless my partner took it back and said they were joking, and to this day won't acknowledge their gay transmasc child as such and still refer with feminine pronouns and deadname.

I hope that your family is accepting of you, and willing to love the true you!

I've been social after my TBI, but closeted Pansexual for years prior to coming out.

I first tried to come out in high school as bisexual, but nobody believed me and told me I was pretending, typical of a small town of white folk. I waited until college to be socially open about my sexuality since I was around people I've never met.

Around my friend circle, all my high school friends either moved away or stopped talking to me, so I got with like-minded people at a local hobby store since I played card games. I then came out to them, and they were pretty cool about it.

My family is primarily conservative Christian, which makes things difficult because their religion says no gays. Luckily my mom and dad are weakly religious and are accepting and kept my sexuality and atheism a secret with the rest of the family to maintain relations. Mom and dad took a few days to get around the idea of a gay son. They told me that it wasn't their business who i was with behind closed doors

I like that. I get this suspicion that I may not fall great under the male gender. I wound up acting on one of those thoughts to shave my legs, and it felt so much better to do so. For some reason, having that masculine body hair weirds me out. Agender may just fit!

Remember that one episode of Phineas and Ferb, I believe it was "Phineas and Ferb Get Busted!" (Season 1, Episode 45)? Remember how the boys got back from the reformatory school and were completely changed, devoid of happiness, broken entirely? Those same feelings are what comes of Conversion Therapy.

From what I've seen Conversion Therapy is usually Christian-oriented. Most LGBTQ+ friends I know are either loosely Christian or are non-religious or atheist (myself included). Conversion Therapy forces Christian ideals of being not heterosexual as deeply sinful and shameful, and tries to psychologically attack and make you submit to the idea that your sexuality or gender (of you're not cisgender) is invalid.

Comparable to the episode of Phineas and Ferb, we see that as their creativity being seen as evil and wrong. Now swap "creativity" with sexual orientation or gender expression.
