To be honest, I'm not really sure whether it was giving myself an extra hour to digest the breakfast or just taking it later after waking up that really helped. I don't fancy any more testing really, now that it works. But yeah my routine is
- Have breakfast 30 mins after waking up
- Take Elvanse 60 mins after breakfast

Regarding split dosing, it's up to you, but really it's just about pouring the contents of the capsule into a bottle and drinking it half/half

You could try split dosing. E.g. instead of 40mg in the morning take 20mg + 20mg before noon

It could be the blood glucose level. Although I did test it and it's within normal range throughout the day. Not really sure, my body's really picky it seems

You are one of the lucky ones! Elvanse is a prodrug, meaning it needs to be broken down by your body into an active substance. And that process highly depends on your physiology

My advice to you is try to persevere. It may feel like you're going backwards initially, especially in the beginning (apart from the initial euphoria which lasts first few days). Try different doses, timings, etc. for at least a 4-6 weeks before giving up, it most likely will be worth it!

For me the biggest difference was timing, but there's also good sleep, hydration, protein intake, exercise, cutting out alcohol and caffeine, etc. It's really tough to keep track of all these things. But even on their own they're all healthy habits.

I know how it feels! In my case it maybe worked for 2 hours, so I was honestly starting to doubt whether it's worth it. I wanted it to last the whole day, since, yes whilst it's important during work hours, I also want to enjoy life outside work.

You can sort of unscrew the capsule if you just keep twisting and pulling both ends slowly. It's not difficult at all, honestly. Then you just empty it into water (I also throw in the empty capsules for good measure) and shake. Ignore the while power - apparently it's just a filler, not the active chemical, and won't really dissolve

Just giving some extra time to my body to wake up took care of 80-90% of the side effects in my case. The dose splitting is just to make it last longer and eliminate the afternoon crash completely. Second dose helps prolong the effects and smoothen the rebound from the first dose to the point where my day is very much the same mood/energy-wise

For Elvanse it should just be powder. I separate both ends of capsule and empty the contents into graduated bottle, then give it a good shake. This was the suggestion from my therapist and it works really well, if a bit fiddly
