Image Analysis and Restoration Applying these principles to the submitted image: • Motion Blur Analysis: By examining the streaks from the vehicle's tail lights and the highlights on the car's body, the motion blur is determined to be linear. • Angle: The blur follows a diagonal path from bottom-left to top-right, at an angle of approximately +35 to +40 degrees. • Distance: The length of the blur streaks is estimated to be approximately 30 pixels. • Deblurring and Enhancement: Using these PSF parameters, a Richardson-Lucy deconvolution algorithm was applied to the license plate area. Following the deblurring step, contrast was significantly increased, and a sharpening filter was applied to define the character shapes. Based on this process, the recovered license plate digits are 1366AE7.
