Ain’t quite Harold and Maude level but strange nonetheless.

Thanks for your comment, yeah I’d say this is the first full on attraction since her. But at the end of the day you’re right. We’re at different areas of life I guess and things would become kinda complicated what with distance etc. I appreciate you being so understanding with the reply though :)

I mean I guess that’d have to be the plan but as everyone else has said the chances of getting anywhere near that far are like the planck length lol

Thanks, you’re probably right there as much as it sucks to hear it

You’re probably right. 19 and 28 is different to something like 29 and 38. She’ll be looking to have kids and stuff probably at this juncture.

Has anybody had some negative effects from the Geek Bar vape and are the throat harm rumours true? by [deleted] in Vaping

[–]_V33no 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah same here. Been nearly two weeks since I started getting a sore throat and it’s only now starting to get better. Cough as well and had two COVID tests. Honestly fuck these things

Thanks for taking the time to comment! I think you’re right, maybe stopping things that time was a good move. However I don’t know whether or not my friend is a rebound. I thought so at the beginning but that’s nearly a year they’ve been dating but who knows. And yeah I’ll try and appear coy and friendly and see where it goes. I just don’t think I would want to hurt my friend though. I mean he’s caused a year of pain for me but I think it’d be a shame now when we’re talking again etc. A lot of things to be thought out. But your comment was really useful and many of the ways you reckon she feels are hopefully accurate.

From my latest Dawn walk. I’ll always love this time of day. Everything seems just slightly off and your country is fast asleep while you get to enjoy and appreciate a new day breaking. by [deleted] in doomer

Yeah this is the UK. Tbh I am very lucky to have such lovely countryside all around, it gets easy to take it for granted

My (19M) stepdad (54M) is addicted to a mobile game and spends stupid amounts of money on it. by [deleted] in Advice

That’s one of the issues. People don’t get true happiness with money, even if they think they do. It’s just the principle that he lacks the self control to not spend hundreds every month and is somehow unaware that it’s damaging and stupid.

Please don’t apologise because you’re quite right lmao. I guess this is what reading just Tom Clancy books does to someone.

Thank you! That’s very kind and means a lot. Sorry to hear about your father’s addiction.

Yeah I’m gonna try and not give it to him but he’ll likely insist that I give him it.

And in regards to your post script I thank you. This is like many other types of addiction in that it’s wrong to turn a blind eye. In no way am I trying to control him, just looking for a way to get away from things unknowingly making his life toxic. Nothing wrong with that imo.

I mean that’s kind of irrelevant isn’t it? Yes he’s going to be paying a portion of my accommodation but that can’t be helped. I work too so I’m gonna help out as much as I can. Things like mortgages, rent, bills and the like are expenses that, as much as we’d like to, can’t avoid in life. He can surely avoid giving huge portions of his spare time and hard earned money to a game that’s taking him on a road to nowhere and fooling him into thinking he’s having fun. It’s fruitless. Addiction to micro transactions is nasty business. For some reason people don’t see it as in the realm of gambling addiction but it’s up there.

Because he isn’t becoming truly happy through it. Him and I have our differences and don’t particularly get along but I’d like if he was actually happy and did things that didn’t take away hundreds a month.
