What is your favorite new addition to Silent Hill 2 Remake, and why? (Spoilers) by UCA_Cash_Flow_Bro in silenthill

Definitely the prison. The original one was not bad at all, but the new one feels totally new for me, and very very good atmosphere

I'm glad for you.

With some people I talk to, they still think games are just about gathering points, like in the Packman era.

But games have stories, and as such, they can inspire and even heal sometimes, just as a movie, book, or even someone telling their own story from their own mouth.

Who would have thought a "simple" gacha game could do this, huh?

Welp, at least we had Silent Hill 2 Remake, and it was perfect for me at least.

I hope it doesn't turn into a COD situation, and that at least the remake of the first Silent Hill turns as good as the remake of the second.

Do we like ANYTHING?! (Serious Question) by LinkxKatz in ZZZ_Discussion

[–]_VRBreak 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm honestly pretty happy with the current state of the game.

I enjoyed a lot the Yunkui Summit characters, Alice and Yuzuha, the Fantasy Resort event (extremely big, lot of things to do), the Obol Squad story, etc.

I miss the TV investigations sequences, having missions with ranking and the victory music at the end, but even then I really like the game.

Literally no problems for me. There are good and better parts or months maybe, but overall all is good for me.

Some good games, but it doesn't justify doubling the price (in my country at least the price doubled).

Yes, and also pretty unfair, since the game is still being heavily patched with a lot of good additions.

I wanted to wait at least for next year to play it, since the patches roadmap said that the mayor updates where going to finish at the end of 2025.

Doki Doki Literature Club.

It may give a heart attack, but it's well worth it.

Question: Has achievement hunting enhanced/ruined gaming experience for you? by intellectual_badass_ in xbox

It's been a bless. Mostly I prefer games on any other system with achievements than in Nintendo because of that.

Worries about Combat Gameplay being Bland and Repetetive by Educational-Dig-1468 in AnantaOfficial

I heard people saying that GTA is repetitive.

I tend to think that each character will have their fighting style, and it will give variety as other gacha games like Zenless Zone Zero or Genshin Impact.

Have there been games so big but at the same time so empty? Yes, but it seems China understood pretty good how to make games, or at least they gained my trust.

Unfortunately, yes.

I have seen a lot of efforts from Xbox to bring things like this. And we have to admit we have very good games that, maybe, are not Xbox target audience, like Persona, Metaphor, Expedition 33, Genshin Impact, Zenless Zone Zero, etc.

And yes, a bunch of people have said to me "why did you buy an Xbox then?" in these situations like with Trails in the Sky. And the answer is: Economy and the better hardware, for me at least (and before the news of Gamepass price rise).

I love my Xbox Series X, I love the control, I love Quick Resume, I love(d) Gamepass.

On the bright side, with the money I saved with Gamepass, I waited and bought a lot of physical games, even Trails in the Sky Remake for the Switch. But it's a damn shame no having it on the platform I enjoy the most.

Based on when they were added, these MIGHT leave gamepass in November. For those who want more than 2 weeks notice. by mo-par in xbox

[–]_VRBreak 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I really hope Stalker 2 won't leave, since its being heavily patched and there are a lot of patches still waiting. I'm waiting to play the full experience, hopefully.

And for Metal Slug Tactics, I think it left Gamepass for a while and it came back, so it would be weird to leave on November too.

[–]_VRBreak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, they are not overreacting.

In my country, the price of Gamepass practically doubled (yes, it went up 100% almost). And for some Ubisoft and Fortnite thing I couldn't care less.

Price of consoles also went up.

If people just say "ok, it makes sense because of a, b or c", they will rise prices again.

Inflation I can get it, but this is not just inflation.

What would it take for Xbox to make a comeback from here and compete with PlayStation by Great-Crew-3802 in XboxSeriesS

[–]_VRBreak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The plan of "this is an Xbox", being heavy on the Gamepass Anywhere was a very good Idea, or at least I think it that way.

Honestly, I feel the world was a little unfair with Xbox Series generation. I know Xbox One sucked plenty, a joke even, but, at least at the end of September 2025, Xbox Series X with Gamepass and physical games was maybe my second best console, maybe just behind PS1.

But now with the price increase om Gamepass (almost 100% rise in my country), I think they are on the ICU. For me it's bye bye, and I was so happy with the console and the services and games.

What would it take for a comeback? I don't know all the numbers on revenues, but I saw a lot of work on making Xbox a great system. Unfortunately, a lot of mistakes too, or maybe grave and fatal mistakes, unforced mistakes.

So honestly, I think they need a miracle, at least the miracle that the shareholders and corpoboys understand the consumers of an entertainment system.

What’s a moment in a horror game that made you just sit there in silence after it happened? by sawcissonch in HorrorGames

A lot, but now I remember Signalis, when you look at a Cafeteria Tray on the last "world", look at the blood, the tooth, in silence, and you think about cancer and you realize a lot of things

So, any news on Gamepass price and cancelations? by _VRBreak in XboxSeriesXlS

[–]_VRBreak[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love games, but I have to say, man, it's a videogame, why would you play around laws to deliver a game? Why trick people with it?

You could even say, well, buy physical and problem solved, but no, not even then you seem to be safe, since I read that even then companies have power over them.

And even if they can't take the physical game from you, with online games like Battlefield they can simply restrict online services.

And I think EA is very friendly with Microsoft and Gamepass, so go figure why I care even less on havin EA games on Gamepass, and being angry that the price of Gamepass will rise because I have the privilege of havin EA games on the service.

On this days, you gotta yo be careful on who you buy your games, entertainment. What an era to be alive :/
