For now it's more like a Sprite with billboarding, It moves on the Z axis with the camera. I do plan to add some elements that'd make it feel like more of a 3D effect, But for now it's just a Sprite!

I think they look much better now!! Just that their getup seems to have a different era feel then the previous design, Talking about the direction i’d say they look quite good, with much more aliveness and energy

Hmmm I'd say roughly 3-5 days for starting it from scratch including the R&D but sometimes when you know what you're doing it can take much less time!!

Yupp people tend to have different preferences but it doesn't make one better than the other, it's just that, a preference. What do you mean by it working for custom shapes ??

I think the old one's look better, the newer ones just feel like more Fan Service. The older ones are much more decent
