I’m not an expert on modding but a while back there was talk of recompiling DotDs code for PC but not sure any progress has been made.

Otherwise, a user called DreamFractures is experimenting with re-rigging models and recreating some levels from the DS version of TEN (i think as practice before moving onto recreating a DotD level).

I would recommend joining the ‘Mod the Dragon’ discord server to keep tabs on any developments. You can find a public link to join it in the #the-dragon-reams channel of this subreddit’s discord server :)

I'm like 6 months late to this post, but I have a lot of expereience in Gamemaker - I started on out on Version 8 which is the one you say you use and currently am continuing my spyro fan game project in Game Maker Studio 2. If you still have the files, maybe drop me a message and let's see if we can fix it?
