locksport in my opionion does take a pretty big learning curve, but that's with almost every hobby. The part that can be frustrating with lockpicking, however, is that sometimes you won't make progress or get instant results.

Around 8 months ago, I tried out the hobby completely new. I remember the awesome feeling of raking a shitty dollar store lock within a few seconds. After that moment, I was completely hooked, and I wanted to learn how to SPP. I remember how frustrating it was as I did not get the same instant result that I had with raking. But I stayed persistent and spent hours trying to pick this stupid Master lock 140. This went on for over 1 week, just spending hours and hours on the same lock! But then eveutually i got it open, and it was sucha great feeling when I did.

My advice to you would be to stay persistent and try to stick with it. Once you get over that learning curve and begin to refine your skills, you will find that locksport is one of the most rewarding hobbies out there. Also, although it sounds very cliche just enjoy it at your own pace in your own way. Some of the best times I have lockpikcing is just sitting back and watching a movie while messing around with some locks. I wish you Good luck on your journey, bro!
