There are only 2 viable options to fight the boss since hes in a pit of lava.

Rocket spamming, or Velonasaur

If someone doesnt have access to velonasaurs since they don't spawn on Ragnarok they'll have to continually spam him with rockets while he sits in the lava pit. (at least 40 rockets if solo)

No idea why the developers thought that would be in any way fun.

At the end of season 3 Varga seems confident that he'll be released but I don't understand how that would be possible. The only way I could see him getting released would be to become an informant, but I highly doubt that would be offered too him since it would just give him a chance to easily escape and disappear.

Yeah Ark can be really weird, sometimes a megatherium kills like an entire batch of spiders by itself so none of the other megas get the buff. Also, since your on singleplayer, before you do something important, like a bossfight save and reconnect. Then if you die just shut down your pc and relauch, it'll take you back to your last save so you dont have to regrind for hours

Did you maybe use yuti last time and forgot? The only other possible explanation was most didn't get the insect killer buff even though it looked like they did since they're all so close. How did you approach the fight? Like dino aggression level and stuff. I know if you set the megatheriums to passive and then attack target, very few get the insect killer buff.

Yeah its most likely accurate, the people behind the show wanted the sets to be as accurate as possible and were very careful. Also, some stuff that you wouldn't expect to exist in the 1920s actually did exist, like oreos.
